Recently decided to switch to the IN WIN 805 (Black) from the NXZT H440 (White) and swopped to some Thermaltake Riing fans. The case does not have the best thermals, so I took out the HDD cage for additional fans. It does look a lot better in person than the photos.
A little bit of history, I built a new pc in back in August. Link to my previous build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/fG4CmG
I’ve been tinkering around with a few components and decided to stick with this build as my main rig. After a few months with these components here are some of my opinions on the parts.
Noctua NF-F12 industrialPPC-3000 PWM: These fans are powerful and LOUD! I ran them at 50% max. The black does look a lot better than the standard beige ones.
Asus Strix R9 390: Not a great overclocker, runs really hot and there is noticeable coil whine. I got it because the cooler and back plate looks sleek. I don’t game much so there is no point getting a better performing card.
Corsair H100i GTX: Efficient AIO but the pump makes an annoying ticking noise. I will probably try the EKWB X240-kit as my next project.
Corsair AX760i: Not sure why it’s discontinued, but it’s a quiet PSU and the fan doesn’t run until it draws 400ish watts of power.
The rest of the components are average and nothing special.
