Description

This was my first, of hopefully many, builds. I honestly could not be more happy with it. It is a mini itx build meant to look cool and be transportable, but the case was just a tad big. I hope to make another Mini ITX computer with Steam OS and hook it up to my tv, but as for right now, this is going above and beyond what I need.

Rosewill Neutron Case: This case was a great case to build in for a beginner. It has tons of space and there are numerous expandable opportunities. I have 6 total fans to keep the airflow going throughout the case, and that helps keep my GPU at or below 65*C. My only gripe with this case is that it is a little bit big, but that made it easier to work in.

PowerColor Radeon R9 280X: This card is great. It handles everything with ease, maxing out Witcher 3 @ 45fps with everything on very high or ultra. I recently bought Fallout 4 as well, and lets just say that there is no complaining coming from me. The card is exceptionally quiet, no coil whine, and has 3GB of VRAM, making it a good investment and future-proofing my rig.

Intel Core i5-4590: This processor is great. I originally planned on getting the i5-4690K, but I got such a great deal on this one I could not justify spending $60.00 extra for a processor that I was not going to overclock. It stays relatively cool with the stock fan, but I plan on upgrading to a water cooling system just to keep everything in ship-shape.

Final Overview: Like I said before, i am extremely happy with my first build. I can't wait to push it to it's limits once newer games start coming out, specifically "The Division." If anyone is looking for a great, easy ITX case to build in, i would not hesitate to tell them to pick this case up.

Let me know what you guys think in the comments! Thanks for looking!!

Part Reviews

CPU

This is an excellent processor for the price I found it for. It handles everything that I have thrown at it, and that includes some of the newest games on the market, along with Adobe Creative Suite. There have no BSOD's or hangups at all! Intel knows what it is doing!

Motherboard

I could not have asked for a better motherboard for my first build. It is very sturdily built and has excellent header placement. The wifi card included was just a bonus!

Video Card

This GPU is excellent. It has amazing price to performance ratio and plays all newer games with many if not all setting on high or ultra. The only gripe that I have with this GPU is the amount of power it draws under heavy load and how hot it gets. Other than that I could not have found a better card for the price!

Case

This case is amazing! There is a bunch of space so nothing feels cramped or looks like it will over heat. There are many expansion opportunities with the amount of case fans you can add. There is also room for 2 240mm radiators! That is incredible for a mini itx case. It is a little on the larger side, but that doesn't warrant a loss of a star!

red dragon can mean a whole different thing. (Hint: search it up on urban dictionary). Also, you gonna be playing that division open beta. I am sure excited for it. 2 more days!

I'm able to play the witcher 3 with everything on at least high with 50 FPS and fallout 4 gets about 40-60 FPS with most settings in ultra. It will be able to run most upcoming games as well I would imagine!
