Description

Hey all, This is my first actual PC build. I used to game on a little old mac (i know.) After some time I always thought to myself like why am I doing this lol. So I decided to go out and see what I can do to actually get a build. And I came up with this thing. Had some problems here and there setting the thing up due to the case and cpu cooler being dummy thicc. But it came out great. I love the build and can't wait to upgrade or even build another.

Part Reviews

CPU

Things a beast. I've read up on it for a while before deciding to get the i5. It was either this or a AMD. Very happy I chose this.

CPU Cooler

Other than this thing being dummy thicc. It is SUPER quiet. Love it.

Motherboard

A buddy of mine actually helped me choose this one out. I really didn't know much about motherboards. I'm still currently learning more about them. As of now all I can say it was great for the price.

Memory

As I was looking for the ram for the build there honestly was a lot of options. I don't know why I choose Crucial. I guess it just caught my eye. 11/10 would buy again.

Storage

Not really familiar with the whole storage speeds and what not. Guessing this is good? Maybe not? I'll let you guys tell me.

Video Card

I bought this thing before literally anything else. I knew that the price was gonna go up because of the crypto. SUPER happy I got it before the price hit $200. Great GPU.

Case

I love how small the case is. But the only thing I wish they would of done is make the side tempered glass instead of plastic. Other than that great case.

Monitor

This is actually my first monitor above 60Hz. I know, I know 'You should of gotten a 144HZ!!!!!!' Thing is this thing cought my eye so quick I got it on spot. Love the monitor.

Great build! Only real recommendation from me would be to add in a SSD of 128Gb-500Gb for your Operating System, I highly recommend a Samsung 850 Evo for SSD. SSD's make a world of a differences :D

I second the idea of adding a SSD into this build. Only thing different is that I recommend getting a 860 EVO (it's actually cheaper than 850 EVO with better endurance).

Make sure the fan on your CPU heatsink is facing the right way. You want both the rear case fan and the CPU fan blowing in the same direction to pull cool air from the front of the case and exhaust it out the back. There should be arrows on the fans to show you which way they blow air.

Otherwise, very nice first build!

Clean, neat, and almost less than 700$ Great build, not all first builds need high-end expensive parts. Creations like these prove that our PC building community is growing.

Thank you! I've always imagined having a custom build PC. I'm glad you enjoy it. I also do agree with the PC community growing part. At the end of the day. It's a must have.

would something like this be able to play Arma 3, COD, BF, diablo 3, fortnite, and escape from tarkov at high setting? looking to build my first gaming PC. Sadly I'm just now getting into this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to capture 60 FPS on many of these games. Fortnite for a fact I do know you can run it on high settings and get anywhere from 60-80. Just dont look at tilted lol. All the other gaames I'am not so certain about. IF anything and you'd like to run all your games on High/Ultra settings I suggest getting a better GPU with more VRAM. It'll most likely fit with you rather than a 2GB.

Didn't really look into it. I don't mind it. If something pops up I always have a receipt.

Well it's just you said it's a beast and while it's good at 1080p, the new 6c/6t i5s destroy games

I agree. But I did have a set budget and I already saw what I was getting. Needless to say I can always upgrade when the time is right.
