by RowanJ22

Description

This is a nice and simple build featuring the RTX 2070, the customer wanted the new RTX technology but did not want to break the bank, I did my research and this is what came up, let me know what you all think

I see that gfx card has bad reviews on amazon should i be worried to buy it and is this build compatible with a i7-4770?

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Not sure what you mean bud? Don’t have a “gfx” card and this is an AMD motherboard, so no an i7 4470 would definitely not be compatible.

Fieldlokk 1 point 3 months ago

Most likely he meant RTX cards.

RIggedy 1 point 3 months ago

i mean the graphics card the 2070 has bad reviews

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Don't listen to reviews much, I like to test them out myself, it runs BFV just fine well above 60 fps on Ultra, RTX low.

EVERYTHING I have heard about the RTX 2070 has been OUTSTANDING. This is coming from multiple well known/extremely knowledgeable YouTube content creators (JayzTwoCents, Linus Tech Tips, etc.). The benchmarks for performance to $ cost ratios make the RTX 2070 probably #1 best deals out there at the moment.

Nice build. Possible future additions could be to upgrade from the amd cooler to something more powerful.

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Thank you, and yes upgrades are what makes PC’s great.

Does the case come with pre-installed rgb strips?

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Yes it does and a smart controller, it’s awesome! Easy to use with the CAM software.

Hannibal66 1 point 3 months ago

Cool. I’m planning on getting this case for my first build. My motherboard doesn’t have any rgb headers though. Is this going to be a problem? My motherboard is the msi z390 a pro

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

I don’t believe so, I did not directly connect any RGB headers. I’m pretty sure it was the usb 1 connection on the motherboard, tha is what connects the smart controller which is connected to the two included RGB light strips, remember that the RGB only comes with the H500i not the regular H500.

No problem and thank you!

Amazing build, all ties in together real well, cable managment looks good and there is an obvious red and black theme evreything looks great and I bet it is a damn powerful gaming rig, good work and to be honest I am kinda jealous

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

Thank you that means a lot, I try to make sure everything is perfect when building for someone. It helps to hear feedback from others, much appreciated.

Lol It's been weeks since I am planning to build mine, and its litterally the exact same mobo (also same color), cpu, and GPU I want ! It looks great, I hope your happy with it. Time for questions (sorry if I ask too much btw):

Is the CPU cool enough with the stock fan?

I've heard that LED from the case are not that goob because it reflect on the glass and are not diffused well, is it true?

Can you control RGB through Mystic Light (via mobo) ? It is not mentionned on the box of the mobo, but it is on the MSI x470. Still, I heard of people able to dowload the software and use it on B450.

What screen are you using?

Thanks mate, good job for the build !

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 2 points 1 month ago

As far as lighting goes it looks good in the case, cannot comment on the diffusing because I did not notice any, but I was using CAM software for the lighting and it all worked perfectly. And yes the CPU runs good on the stock fan, did not see it go above 70C during load, but I just depends on your case and the fans, but if you desire to push on overclocking, then an aftermarket cooler or AIO will most likely be necessary. I hope this helped, thank you for your comment.

I have not looked into it, but I have an MSI MoBo, and I can disable any lights on mine, so I can assume that it is the same.

RowanJ22 submitter 9 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Hope that helps

They were installed later, just did not get them in the pic, but thermals were still good under load, playing BFV for two hours, GPU only reached 68 C

I just added a pic with the fans, if you want to take a look.
