Description

My 3rd build but this time around I went ahead and put a few more dollars to it. This pc will most likely be used for pure gaming, web browsing, and watching anime. Also this is huge for me as I am coming from a GTX 660 to a GTX 1080 which I'm really excited about. Still need a few more pieces like a gaming monitor, mechanical keyboard, etc. Will definitely get those eventually but definitely a monitor first!

-Replaced stock fans to match color scheme

-spray painted some of the case parts

-added a fan controller

-probably could've done the cable management a little better at the backside of the case

Part Reviews

Storage

pure storage, will probably get either a SSHD or SSD eventually, depends on the pricing

Video Card

coming from MSI GTX 660 to a 1080 is just ridiculous. Haven't OC'd yet to the max but this is an amazing piece of card.

Case

One of my favorite cases, lots of room to work with, and superb airlfow

Some pics with natural light/without flash should look better. Good part choices(except the hdd).+1

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to computer parts (I'm still learning but I have the basics down), but what would you recommend instead of the current HDD?

FHD32423 2 points 32 months ago

This or this. The one he got is overpriced for what it is.

Jerkk 1 point 32 months ago

Aaa okay thank you! The first one is the one I've been looking at to pair with my SSD

Thank you sir!

That case comes with all its fans, right? Except for the ones on the top -- which will be filled with the radiator, right?

I'm guessing you got the new fans for the lights?

I'm about to buy a case just like this, and thought I'd check...

Super sexy build btw =)

Edit: Derp, I just read your comment above saying you wanted to replace the stock fans so you could get a neater color scheme. My bad. Very cool build!

aldrickt submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

thank you! And yes I had to buy the fans separate unfortunately... would've been nice if I could change the rings on the fan doe. Highly recommend the case, lots of room to work with and really looks nice.

would have gotten a 2 TB seagate hybrid drive, nice build, love the case.

aldrickt submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

$2000 build and still using a $20 Logitech keyboard... +1 Get a mechanical keyboard ;)

aldrickt submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

Zehkari 1 Build 2 points 31 months ago

Hey man, Nice build. I can't decide between going full red or white. Got a quick question regarding the case though. I saw a review somewhere about it not having a psu filter on the outside. Do you think this is a problem?

aldrickt submitter 1 Build 2 points 31 months ago

do both red and white lol... and yes it does not have a psu filter. In my opinion, it's not bad although having a filter would be nice to keep dust away from going in but in my setup, i have the psu on my desk and not on the ground. I guess if it was on the ground, dust would be more as to having it on top of your desk. I dont think its a problem yet.

UltraSaucy 1 point 30 months ago

Awesome build! how do you like the h100i v2?

aldrickt submitter 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

it is impressive, keeps my cpu cool even under heavy session of gaming. I recommend it if you're in the market for a cooler. Easy to install and i really havent had any issues. I also changed the tabs for it to match the color scheme on my machine, pics arent shown as i ordered right after i posted this build.
