An AMD State of Mind.

Notes - This build was done at start to middle of 2017, Due to lack of time and buying parts slowly It was put together till 10/07/17. The reason to different prices are that a large amount parts were used in the pervious build. All parts were purchased on amazon prime on deals, with promo and saving codes.

This build is the direct Successor to "FX Gonna Give it to YA!" Build.

Noctua NH-D15 - (From pervious Build) This works as wonderfully as ever, Has very little to no noise. And cools excellently since I first bought it.

R7-1700 - Amazing upgrade from the FX -8370, it's clocked at 3.7GHZ at stock voltage. Never goes above 51 C. Really, it performs in many games such as Fallout, The surge, Doom, the witcher 3 and Shadow warrior.

R9-390X -(From pervious Build) This was modified with Arctic Accelero Cooler and made temps much more manageable. With 1150 on the core and 1650 on the memory it never went beyond 73C.

MSI - X370 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard - A very cheap but good motherboard for the price. Looks excellent and has many fan headers, overclocking is basic but very workable. The biggest down side is the memory, it is clocked at 2800 MHZ CL 15.

Corsair - Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory - It works. It was not as expensive as it is in 2018. Does not run at advertise speed on Ryzen but good enough for me.

The Corsair 760T Black (From pervious Build) - A very large, roomy case. Easy to work in. Looks good. Not a problem doing cable management in. I really love it and the way it looks. The black and read really suits me even though is a probably the most over used theme.

EVGA - (From pervious Build) SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply- It works well and I have no complaints.

                          Overall Thoughts

I really enjoy using this system it performs excellently at 1440p medium to High settings. I play a wide variety of games and do some editing as I have now started into video production.

Gaming has been a blast and from the FX chip the improved lower bound FPS is a dream.

It was worth the upgrade and I do hope do GPU upgrade in the future.

Part Reviews

Truly a great processor for under USD$300.00. Very happy with gaming and editing performance.
