Description

This build is dedicated to one of my favorites games The Witcher Series. The Witcher 3 is coming very soon and I want to create a machine capable to run this game at high level. My budget is very limited so I can't build with expensive components.

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz

The best CPU for gaming on a Z97 Motherboard.

Gigabyte Z97-D3H

I like very much this motherboard has no problem at all. I bought it because specialy works very well with my CPU. I bought it before the computer case so that's why doesn't match with the white theme.

Kingston HyperX Fury White

Nothing much to say here. A very popular component for his great performance.

Samsung 840 EVO 120GB

Merely for OS

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

For gaming

Seagate Barracuda 1TB

For HD videos and Loseless Audio, etc.

Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB XTREME

I really love this card. Playing High/Ultra The Witcher 3 scoring 59/60fps Hairworks and HBAO+ ON. Very silent and energy saving friendly.

EVGA 850W Supernova

Maybe not need it here much but maybe for a Crossfire in the future.

I hope you like it!

I know. I prefer a sawhorse wooden table, but that table is ok for now.

Not sure why you got a z97 if not overclocking? Also I wouldn't have got an 840 given the issues, 850 much safer bet

Both minor points though, love the build! Just tried to get into witcher 2 myself but disappointingly I can only get 15 fps on low with my 840m! :(

Thanks. In that photo was the second round of cable management. Now I'm happy and I will not open that side of the case for a long time I hope.

How well does the TP-Link Archer usb adapter work? I was thinking of getting one for an older laptop I have.

I was using the TP Link WN725N and obviously it feels the difference in speed. I recently bought the adapter and for my work I don't have time for testing, sadly.

Thank you for your comments.

I can run everything in HIGH/ULTRA graphics at 55/60 fps. - The Witcher III - Battlefield 4 - Rise of Tomb Raider - ETC

But right now I'm thinking to change the CPU with an i5 4690K. I know, it's a bit old (2014) CPU but my motherbard is a LGA 1150.

The CONS here is: i5 4690K cost the same as i5 6600K (LGA 1151) And I don't want to build another PC spending a lot of money.

What do you think?

Was very helpful! And I did not expect that much.

I will buy the 4690K very soon and try to forget my error to buying the 4460.

Do you have your system is this site?

Thank you again!
