Man, where to start. I've been telling myself I was going to do this for awhile and finally got around to purchasing all of the components during Black Friday and Cyber Monday so I paid significantly less than the prices shown. This PC will be primarily used for gaming as I start to transition from console gaming to desktop.
I had originally purchased the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard, Got everything set up and seemed to be good to go, however both the BIOS as well as windows would recognize that both sticks of RAM were present but only have of the 16 GB of memory was available to be used. About 20 hours of troubleshooting and a new set of RAM that ASUS told me would solve the issue (due to RAM compatibility) and still no luck. I ended up returning that board and going with the B450-F and that solved all of my issues. Should have trusted my gut originally but I learned so much after taking this thing apart and putting it back together again with a new board.
One of the hardest parts for me was cable management. Still doesn't look as clean as I'd like, but all in all im pretty happy with my first attempt at a PC.
Definitely up for any suggestions going forward. Thanks everyone!
