Description

This is my first ever PC build. I've been wanting a PC ever since I was a kid, but I wanted the best of the best and wasn't willing to settle for anything less.

To me this PC was more than just something to game or work on. I wanted to create an art piece. Something that I can't take my eyes off of. I had to wait until I was in a position to create such a machine and this year I decided to pull the trigger and it was time to make my dream a reality. Little did I know I picked the worst time to buy a GPU and RAM, but I digress.

If you have any questions or comments please let me know!

Thanks!

Gorgeous build. Where art meets pc's. That personal touch is what make a build unique.

Thank you! I'm working on ordering custom cables. I'm deciding on colors right now.

How is the M65 mouse? I was thinking about getting one

dominicc_02 1 Build 5 points 16 months ago

I have one and i fully recommend it! perfect mouse to have for gaming and all round computer usage

BrimstoneBell 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Thanks for the recommendation!

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 3 points 16 months ago

I have no prior gaming mouse experience to refer to, but I love it. It has a good weight and the ability to switch between DPI on the fly is amazing. It feels like a very well made mouse and that's my favorite part. I was worried about hitting the side "sniper" button by mistake, but I never do. I recommend it for sure.

BrimstoneBell 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

Thanks (again) for the recommendation!

I smell a featured build.

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

That would be awesome!

Gaellen 2 points 16 months ago

Gaellen 2 points 16 months ago

Nice...... I hope they end up looking nice

WallabeAttack 2 points 16 months ago

Beautiful build i personally haven't seen many green color schemes but i love it. +1

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Thank you! Its one of my favorite colors and its soft on the eyes. So its not distracting while using the PC.

OccamAsylum 15 Builds 2 points 16 months ago

Looks amazing, plus you have such a nice, clean office. +1

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Thank you! I'm a neat freak. I spend too much time polishing my desk. Haha

WallabeAttack 2 points 16 months ago

Also if you are going for purely aesthetics then go with razer ornata chroma i think its the best looking keyboard. Images doesn't do it enough justice search a video on it then decide.

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

I'm also into the performance, also since the keyboard matches my system it is the best looking choice for my setup imo. But I agree that one is hella sexy.

WallabeAttack 1 point 16 months ago

Yea. It does not have as good as performance as corsair keyboards but I was willing to make that compromise for aesthetics.

shaduzi23 1 point 16 months ago

How big is your table?

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

54 x 34. I refinished the desk myself and the top is a custom stainless steel worktop. It was purposed for a garage but I loved the look so I ordered it.

myboi 1 point 16 months ago

Needs more RGB (not), so you seem to like corsair ,how is the K95? my brother has one ,but I just have a regular old K70 ,should I upgrade?

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I've never had the k70, but I watched some reviews and the reviewer mentioned if you have the K70 the upgrade as far as performance doesn't make financial sense. Personally I think its beautiful and if you have the cash to spend for the aesthetics alone it is an awesome keyboard!

Gaellen 1 point 16 months ago

Do you plan on adding more storage at some point?

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

Absolutely! I've got my on a WD 5tb but I wanted my os on an ssd so I got that for now and I'll upgrade the storage sometime soon.

Gaellen 2 points 16 months ago

Good idea.... You have everything planned out perfectly

corbinleyman 1 point 16 months ago

How did you mount the cooler in the front of the case? Just wondering, because I heard the case has had issues with the Kraken x62's mounting on top. Thanks!

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

The top clearance was an issue with my Motherboard and RAM. I only had the front mount option. The fans aren't as big as the included 140's but it keeps the CPU cool still while overclocked to 5ghz. The rad didn't line up with the fan screw holes but the case had cutouts for the rad so I was actually able to screw it into the case instead of the fans. Which may be normal, I've never done it prior.

corbinleyman 2 points 16 months ago

Yea I heard the 570x was an anti Nzxt case lmao.... Thanks again

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

They didn't make it easy but its possible! You're welcome!

corbinleyman 1 point 16 months ago

What desk is that?

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

I built it myself. It was an old junk desk I found on Craigslist and I put the stainless top on it and new hardware and refinished it in black.

thatsoccerguy 1 point 16 months ago

How did you mount your radiator?

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

There are some extra holes in the front of the PC I was able to run the included long screws through and make it work!

damianthomas 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Hi there, great build! Just wondering, have you encountered any issues running the Corsair RGB fans and the Aura motherboard? I have an Asus Aura motherboard and GPU but really LOVE those fans. Just wondered if you ran into any problems?

Cheers

SillyCharmander submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

No issues at all! If you're getting fans make sure they are the Corsair LL series. They have like double the leds and the fan color doesn't look washed out like the corsair sp fans that came with my case.

One thing to mention, and it may be like this with all systems or I may be doing it wrong, I have my corsair link launch at startup because if I don't the fans stay in display mode. So they are all rainbow effect if I don't have the corsair link program on at startup. Again I may be doing it wrong, but that's my experience

damianthomas 1 Build 2 points 15 months ago

Nice one, cheers for the reply! Great build :)
