hmm, the service is the same cost as the de-lid tool, I will consider it. 5 days is a long time without my CPU LOL

LMAO true dat. Its up to you, but you can get some lower temps, and its pretty much neccsasry for overclocking IMO. Check how much you can stably overclock ur CPU, as some chips just have a chance to be amazingly good (i.e 5.2 ghz at 1.3 V I read someone's post on Tom's Hardware saying they got these speeds without delliding). This lottery term is coined as "silicon lottery", hence the website name. IMO if you can hit 5Ghz below or at 1.4V, and your Cpu remains below 75C under load, I'd say ignore delidding and carry on.

I'll run some tests and see where my temps are at, I already have a 5GHz OC. I think I hang in the high 60's mid 70's so there is something to be gained for sure.

Great! IMO, you dont need to delid getting temps like that. Enjoy!

That's awesome, Its great to delid at the same time it's not as it voids the warranty, and if the cpu stops working then you get another replacement from Intel, since going over 5GHZ it doesnt show any difference in real life only on benchmarks
