Hello! I need advice on building a desktop that can run a game like Fallout 4 at recommended settings.
Here are the recommended settings of Fallout 4 (according to www.systemrequirementslab.com and PCGamer):
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent RAM: 8 GB OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required) Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent Free Disk Space: 30 GB
-I have no experience at building computers. My budget is around $800-1200, but I want it to be as cheap as possible while being high-performance so I still have leftover money for other games. I live in the U.S. As stated above, I will use it for high-performance gaming as well as schoolwork and things like that. I don't need any peripherals. I would prefer Windows 8 as my OS.As long as my PC can fit under a desk, I don't care too much about size. I do plan on overclocking my PC. As long as the PC is not white (lots of dirt tends to get to my PC), I don't care too much about my case design or color scheme. I plan to buy this on Black Friday 2015.
CPU: I prefer Intel processors, especially the 4690k and 4790k.
CPU Cooler: I prefer fans, I can deal with some noise.
Motherboard: I don't prefer any motherboard.
Memory: I prefer at least 16 GB, as Fallout 4 takes 8, and I will record gameplay. I don't prefer any certain brand of memory.
Storage: I do want an SSD and at least 1 TB of HDD storage. I don't prefer any brand for either.
Video Card: I prefer NVIDIA graphics, but Radeon is acceptable.
Case: I don't prefer any case brand, but I need a case that supports an optical drive.
Power Supply: I don't prefer any PSU brand.
Optical Drive: I don't prefer any optical drive brand.
OS: I prefer Windows 8.
Thanks for your help :)
EDIT: I will not buy any used parts whatsoever. I don't need an OS anymore.
