Need help with upgrade path

My current system has an AMD FX-6300 and a GTX 950 all in a corsair air 240. I will have around a $500-$650 budget for upgrading. I'm not really sure where to go with upgrades. I do really want to get a XSPC raystorm photon liquid cooling kit. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh dear, not sure about anyone else, but I find AMD really hard to upgrade.

Honestly, your first priority is to get off of the dead end AMD socket. Upgrading to an 8350 would just delay that upgrade. I would jump to an i5/i7 with a nice motherboard and cooler. Go ahead and upgrade storage if you want but save what you can for a gpu upgrade later this year. There should be some really awesome graphics cards coming this year from both Nvidia and AMD. I would also consider if you can going to at least the micro atx size as this makes everything else easier. If not it should be fine, it just restricts options. If you want something still small, I would go for the corsair air 540, or try and get your hands on a cooltek w2 but the only place that might ship that is here http://www.quietpc.com/cooltek-jonsbo-w2 and shipping is probs a lot.

Looks like a really nice case. Shipping is really expensive. I want to upgrade to a skylake i5 but I would have to get some new RAM which would take an extra $40 out of the budget for other stuff.

Thats true, I forgot about that. I would either like i said go to a skylake i5 (which does mean getting a new motherboard and ram), or get a new gpu and wait for amd's zen processors. I feel like the new GPUs are more of a sure bet as a great upgrade while I still have lots of questions about zen.

Sell the 950 on eBay and buy an SSD or Windows 10.
