Need some advice for this build

Budget - $1500 if possible but can go up to $2000 max.

Please help me complete my build intended for gaming on at least 1440p/144hz. I want to make sure that everything is balanced there is no GPU yet I was thinking of getting the GTX 980 TI but since the 1080 is coming soon I'll just wait for that.

The case on this build is a little bit on the expensive side so please suggest a good alternative. Also I am not sure if I should go water or air cooling no plans on doing any overclocking yet maybe in the future.

My color theme preference is Black/White or white/red. ATX or mATX

Finally decided to leave the darkside and leave my overpriced laptop behind lol.

Thanks in advance! (hoping to complete this project this year).

I would just get higher RAM its the same price and mobo can handle it so why not ;)

For example Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmk16gx4m2a2666c16

Phanteks makes some cheaper cases than the one you have, the NZXT H440 or the Fractal design R5/S are also great options for cases

Everything else looks pretty good

Looks good buddy. Have you checked out the Phanteks p400s? Its quite a bit cheaper and comes with window and sound dampening.
