WD Red on aDesktop

I'm currently looking for a 4TB HDD(storage) for my new gaming build, i have only found WD Red 4TB and WD Black. i was initially looking for the Blue one but i couldn't find one where i live and i was wandering if the WD Red would do fine on a desktop.

Note: i plane on using a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD for OS and Games

Thanks!

The Toshiba x300 is a much faster drive than other drives that compete with it. It is a 7200rpm drive with 128mb cache, which puts the performance above the Barracuda and WD Caviar Blue: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/xHzZxr/toshiba-internal-hard-drive-hdwe140xzsta

Yes. The WD Reds are designed for NAS usage but they are perfectly suitable desktop drives.
