Why are all the 280x, 290 and 290x prices so high? Will they go back down soon??

the prices are high due to bit-coin mining. Which is a dumb reason for a price raise. Especially when retailers could just put a temporary limit 4 per house hold restriction, which would solve the shortage problem. but hey that's business. I was going AMD for my video card now I've decided to go Nvidia instead because of the inflation. I'm not overpaying 100 bucks for something sorry.

its actually because of lite coin mining.

Same thing as far as I'm concerned. A GAMING video card being used other for a main purpose then GAMING. Sorry I think it's dumb.

Totally agree with you. Yeah cause isn't a 770 just a little bit better then a 280x?

Yes. Battlefield 3 - 126.2 fps (770) vs 106.5 fps (280x) (Around 20% in fps difference). BioShock infinite - 83.4 fps (770) vs 73.9 fps (280x). (I just grabbed 2 random bench marks)
