Streaming Rainbow Six Siege

Ice44

I have a couple of questions

1. Will my internet speed be good enough to stream R6S at 720p 60fps? http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6462888778

2. How do I start getting viewers on my streams

3. I currently have an i3 6100 and 8gb of RAM. Should I upgrade to 16gb?

2 answer: just keep streaming till people stumble across you. Also, have a good personality in your streams that way viewers keep coming back to support you. Have a good day and good luck on streaming :D

1 answer: I guess that is good, if you connect to ethernet you'd probably get faster download and upload speeds for a smoother stream.

"streams 720p 60 fps ark (even though he's playing at 20-30 fps"

why would I want to watch this bad of a picture? 1080 is minimum, or dont do it at all.

I am not telling you what to do :)

"stream R6S at 720p 60fps?"

720? that was 5 years ago

I am sure they do......1080 looks better :)

yeah but the difference between 720p and 1080p is not enough for me to justify getting an i7 or switching to Ryzen

But do you need to? Is that so much more demanding? Have you FPS measurements while streaming 720p and 1080p?

Let me simplify why 720p is so much easier for streaming

  • 1280*720=921,600
  • 1920*1080=2,073,600

it is 2.25x harder to stream 1080p than 720p

So why is your dad streaming with those conditions? He is just into steaming with what he has?
