Looking for opinions on my first build!?

Basically I'm looking for people's thoughts on the overall build and monitor, mouse and keyboard etc. Im hoping this will run gems like GTA, Red dead 2 when it's released and games like that at ultra settings while maintaining as close to 100hz as possible. Any criticism or changes you would make are greatly welcomed.

Thanks.

So unless you are recording/streaming, I'd say 7700k right now is your best choice for gaming performance. That said, wait to see where coffee lake shakes out performance and price wise. If the i7 8700k (6core/12 thread) is the same or very similar price, I'd replace the 7700k and Z270 board with an 8700k and Z370 motherboard.

As for other component choices, it looks like you already purchased the PSU. It's a little overkill. You probably could get by with a 650 or 750 watt power supply for a single GPU set up. But if that is set in stone than don't worry. Also, I dropped the wifi card to include a motherboard that has onboard WIFI. Also, went for a monitor an IPS 3440x1440 100Hz G Sync monitor for better color and viewing angles. Otherwise I tried to respect your choices of case and Graphics Card but you might be able to save a few by going for a cheaper Graphics Card. The overall price is roughly the same with the changes.

Thanks for your input bro. I think I am just gonna wait a bit see what happens with Coffee lake. As for the board I think I'm gonna go with your choice it meets my aesthetic desire and knocks some price off so it's a win win! Also it gives me a bit more to chuck at the monitor! Thanks again

Yup. Just be aware that right now it is looking like Z270 motherboards will not be with coffee lake (of course we will see). That said, there will probably be a similar Z370 motherboard for coffee lake.

I think I'm going to I'm buying bit by bit over a few months so have a bit of time to pull the trigger.

Then I recommend to wait for Coffee Lake.

The CPU you choosed ( i7-5820K ) is old and on a socket ( X99 ) which is old too and isn't supported anymore. Ryzen 7 1700 offers 2 more cores and 4 more threads for cheaper. AM4 socket will be supported until 2020. Also it is coming with an RGB cooler and you can have a decent overclock with it. The difference between the Asus 1080TI and Zotac 1080TI is just in the cooler and maybe noise. They will perform equally but Zotac is cheaper.

Thanks for your input as for cpu I'm just gonna wait and see what happens after coffee lake. The gpu I'm very picky when it comes to looks which is the reason I've gone with Asia it just looks nicer and that sells it for me considering the case I'm using

I have the case you're wanting to buy, there are few cases as nice. I agree with the other comments about waiting to get the Coffee Lake platform. Intel is announcing the new chip tomorrow after the eclipse.
