They will be browsing the web, using Microsoft office, and doing some light gaming, like Civ 5 or Civ 6.

My personal build is a Ryzen 1700 with a GTX 1080, so I have no problem putting my own CPU in there and updating the bios.

That part (keyboard and mouse) is going to be a surprise gift for them (when I can get the money to do so, my parents will be paying for the other components of the PC since they just need an upgrade).
