  • If you can find a deal, the i5 8600k is a phenomenal gaming cpu. I've seen them at microcenter for $199.99, which isn't much more than the i3
  • Added more storage, 250GB will fill up fast

In the future please post budget, location and if gaming, what resolution/hz you plan to play at.

More so for AMD than Intel, but you do see gains from 2133 to 2666. Beyond that it plateaus pretty quickly. (Except for with iGPU's, but that's not relevant here.)

o and what do you guys think about tis build in x299 it's a little more expensive and the motherboard is a bit overpriced being mATX but i really want to keep it small for on my desk and i think that the forward compatibility to an I9 is really handy for the future https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rp8Yr6 and I put the bigger storege and ssd in it and the better ram and an I5. from the tips from buildtimeboys and wumpawarrior
