Just want to get some feedback. if you see anything you think should be changed please tell me. Any bottleneck issues you notice tell me. Thank you.

If I did this for the gaming rig, I'd only have to spend 500+ for SSD, Case and Cooler. Thoughts?

  • Ditched the AIO in favor of a good HSF (I have this specific cooler, and I can say it does the job very well)
  • Bigger SSD (in case you use up that terabyte)
  • The i version of the H500 only adds lighting based extras (which I feel aren't needed)
  • Added some 140mm fans (to optimise system airflow)

What brand is Micron? I have 2x 140mm be quiet! fans, I could use those. Only reason I picked the H500i is for fan control.

ImperiousBattlestar 2 points 29 days ago
  • Micron is the parent company of Crucial (they make the OEM internal bits of many SSDs)

  • If you have 140mm fan's on hand, that's good, as they'll help with front airflow.

  • Now that you've stated fan control, you could put back the H500i.

Looks good, I don't think I have anything more to say now.

Any need for Dark Rock Pro?

ImperiousBattlestar 1 point 29 days ago

Not really (unless you really want to push that i5 harder)

beardedmisfit submitter 2 Builds 1 point 29 days ago
