For all the Star Wars fans out there, what technology from the movies do you wish was real. (Ships, weapons, etc.)

Dont care if its not a technology... I want to abuse people with a Jar Jar

I'm not picky, I'm a very reasonable man. All I want from Star Wars is a light saber and the high ground.

Everything.

I want to man a capital ship while wielding a lightsaber and yell “Captain bring us closer, I want to hit them with my sword!”

Our Air Force would be nearly unstoppable if all the different starfighters used by the Republic/Rebel Alliance/Resistance/Jedi Order were real. I know, they seem overkill for flying in the atmosphere rather than the vacuum of space. What’s wrong with TIE fighters? This video explains it all https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ-YL06_SM8a. We might have to extensively modify/reverse engineer these to fit our needs, but who doesn’t like the Armored Assault Tank from the prequel trilogy? The best part? It only requires 3 people/droids to operate compared to the tanks we actually have which require 4, maybe 5 people depending on whether they have an autoloader installed or not. Only downside to the AAT? It’s slow and trying to replenish its ammo seems like a logistical nightmare because the entire underside of the tank has to be removed and replaced with a new one based on what I’ve read about it

Jetpacks a la Jango/Boba Fett. Although, I guess what I have to clarify is, I wish we could have jetpacks like his and physics somehow allowed for it to work like in the movies lol. Because you could totally build a Jango Fett jetpack IRL, but if you try to fly with it, you're gonna have a bad time...

Repulserlifts.

Then we could have everything from jet-packs to swoop-bikes and floating casino's.

Hyperspace travel, of course. That would pretty much secure humanity's future as an interstellar species and would let us travel to the ends of the solar system very quickly with ease.

Nice idea, only issue is you can’t do that without a hyperdrive. And contrary to what you might think. A higher hyperdrive rating is NOT better. For example a class 0.5 hyperdrive is better than a class 2 and not the other way around

I think christian's comment clearly implies that the hyperdrive is the tech he would choose, since he said hyperspace travel is what he'd want.

Ships, and Hyper space, it would be nice to be able to travel to other world like that.

At this moment.... my wife is very glad my computer is doa.

I could write a decent essay of what tech Inlove and hate in Star Wars.

But to go light my answer would be to easily transition from planet to space, and to traverse quickly from system to system via discoverable hyperspace lanes (really cool concept imo).

Bring Jar Jar so we can abuse him irl

Why not

Hyperspace, along with a light sabre. Maybe A customised tie fighter, but other than that, I'm good. Plus the tech advances that come with it, e.g. hover transportation, like on coruscant.

I’d take a customized GR-75 medium transport for passenger/VIP transport and freight delivery jobs. With a passenger capacity of between 40-90 people according to this article, and fairly decent payload capacity of 19,000 metric tons according to the aforementioned article, what could go wrong other than it could have issues defending itself due to being poorly armed, requiring a fighter escort?

Imagine doming an Elk with a DC-15a. That would be lit.

What sucks is if a DC-15 isn’t enough firepower for you is the fact that the beefier DC-17 is only reserved for military usage so if you really wanted one of those, you’re pretty much out of luck trying to get your hands on one

The DC-17 is a pistol though?

It comes as a reconfigurable weapon and a blaster rifle

Salacious Crumb. Definitely Salacious Crumb. (Even though he is an animal... Creature... I'm still putting it in)
