Intel Build, Need advice.

For my first build, I did a great price to preform Ryzen build but now, I want a pc for pure gaming. I am plan to do a Black and White theme. Since I never did Intel before, I wanted a little feedback if these components were a good match for each other. Thanks!

For pure gaming:

  • an unlocked nipper single core clock i5-9600K with a higher boost frequency (faster single cores = better gaming performance)

  • If you're serious about the black and white theme - RGB & GPU in white!

  • You certainly don't need an AIO if you don't intend on overclocking! A $40/$50 air cooler will work great for this rig. Although if you fancy one for the aesthetics, i've opted for the H115I pro which uses premium fans + far lower noise levels as the H100i does ramp up quite a bit

  • An overall better quality PSU - quieter too! 650W is more than sufficient with plenty of mileage for upgrades and power efficiency maintenance.

  • 1TB SSD. Save all your games on the SSD for faster game load times + in-game asset boots. These intel 660p units for a gaming rig are fantastic and with current price-drops, very reasonably priced!

If you are planning on gaming on higher resolution displays (eg. 1440p/etc) I would look to swap things around! Less on the CPU and cooler department, for a more higher-end GPU!
