It's functional, but far from optimized for the price.

9400F is a better buy for gaming performance. 10-30% better FPS in compute bound conditions. Much better CPU choice for 144hz monitor. Similar price. If you must go AMD, 2600X paired with 3200MT/s or better memory is going to keep you closer to the 144hz goal.

2666MT/s memory would be a better match to a 9400F on B365 motherboard. 3200MT/s buys about 10% performance boost in gaming compared to 2666MT/s when running a Ryzen CPU.

$20 more buys a very high end PCIE NVME SSE, the Corsair MP510.

You can get Windows Pro from Trusted Tech Team for only $15 more.

You can put a "BoomPro" microphone on a set of ATH-M40X's for around the same price as buying both of those separate headphones/headsets, and wind up with a single solution that is better than either of those solutions. I would spend some extra money on a motherboard with proper headphone amp and beefed up audio performance to really enjoy passive headphones like this. Otherwise, seriously consider a USB headset instead. A USB headset will take the D/A conversion and amplification to the headset, with a dedicated solution designed/tuned to match the headset best. Also, since this is for gaming, consider that a "gaming" headset is more of a surround sound experience headset designed to work with game engines to give you meaningful information ques through sound in the game. I think the latest technology for this is called like headphone:X or something like that. Can't recall, but you should look into it. For the combined price of that headset and headphone, you could get a really decent USB headset that is better suited to gaming.

A refurbished Z533 set can be had for a few bucks more on newegg marketplace.

Can we expect you to post the exact same build again in a few days to see if you get different answers?

  1. Get at least 3000mHz ram for Ryzen

  2. Don’t get that western digital 1 tb ssd, get the crucial p1 1tb m.2 or the intel 660p 1tb m.2 ssd. It is the same price for intel and crucial but miles faster for what I have looked up.

  3. Look for a cheaper/better performing power supply because that is super overpriced for what it is. I sadly don’t have any recommendations.

Any questions you have I can maybe answer.

Why get 2 headphones when you could get a Pair that listens to music just as well as games?

And also, why get garbagey speakers if you're just going to use headphones for music?

Also, Follow Case5549's advice below
