Connection Issues

Hi all,

I have been having some issues with my connection lately. Our wifi was playing up considerably about a week ago and is still a bit shaky, so my housemate fed an ethernet cable into my room - I thought that was all good, it would be fixed.

But now I am facing another issue, whenever I try and load a webpage, it takes like 4-5+ refreshes for it to work? I use Twitch a lot but that doesn't even really load at all with the cable in.

Has anyone heard of this before/possibly know of fixes for it?

If familiar with the process,
Test browsing with a Linux live distro.
If no issues when using a distro, problem is with likely your OS and/or installed software.

If still encountering issues when using a distro,
Hardware problem.

If at all possible, try plugging in the connection from the ISP endpoint into your computer instead of your router. (Probably not possible with a combined cable modem/router setup.) It could be a bad router, bad cable from ISP endpoint to the router, or ISP problems.
