At first, we were a bit sceptical about putting a white GPU in a totally black system, but it turned out to looks absolutely amazing. But it lacks a backplate, which is quite surprising for a high-end graphic card, but it doesn't matter that much in our case, since the case has no window (pun intended). It's a great GPU for a silent build.
I can't complain about the performance of the GPU for 4K gaming as everything has been running flawlessly. The down side is the card does run a little hot and the fans are fairly loud when they kick in so I can't give it 5 stars. But if you can live with that and you like the white look like I do, then you really can't go wrong.
I am not sure if its performing to its fullest potential. Need to test more
At first I was a bit skeptical about buying this card with the white/orange theme and no back plate, but honestly in person it still looks amazing and much better than I thought it would. The card stays at around 36.0° C idle in OC mode, the aorus rgb software is easy to use. Reading through some reviews on this card people were saying that there was horrible coil whine but I am still yet to hear it, overall a really great card and pushes out some amazing frames during gaming. I also managed to get destiny 2 for free so that was a cool bonus! :)
Super quiet and runs like a beast
Bought this model back when I could get them for $650 apiece. They were the cheapest, but still work great. Cooling is surprisingly good for such a cheap card, and its a 1080 ti. I would like to upgrade to liquid cooling, but be warned nobody in the US sells a waterblock for this card. They are ~$100 with free shipping from China via Alibaba (but hey they are RGB).
This thing melts... frame rates and temp wise. It has a boatload of power that can easily run any game, but even with the triple fans, it does run a tiny bit warm. Wish there was a backplate to hide the back of the pcb, but performance is standout.
Wicked fast, wicked good looking, wicked loud. It's a 1080 Ti, so it can obviously handle just about anything. If you're looking for a quiet card, either don't buy this one or liquid cool it, because man, those things are LOUD! It drowns out four case fans and the pump noise when all of those are maxed out.
1080ti for $650? Thanks RTX. This card runs PUBG at 144hz, and if that ain't impressive I dunno what is. Runs pretty cool too, with a fairly agressive fan curve I don't crack 65
At the time of purchase, this was the best GPU on the market for gaming (purely based on performance) and a year later I'm not even remotely interested in an RTX2070/2080. This achieves 100+ FPS in 1440p on Ultra (or Extreme) in a wide variety of games, including Warhammer: Vermintide 2, PUBG, The Witcher 3, The Forest, Elder Scrolls Online, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
I enjoyed that this was one of few GPUs with a white color scheme, as my build was initially on air. That's hardly relevant to me now that I'm running a full custom loop, though. Gigabyte's OC software doesn't seem to work very well.
