I really liked 8.1 but have since upgraded to 10 which is fantastic

It's an okay OS, I will say that. But I would still prefer Windows 7. You know if I had money to buy windows 7 again or if I had a product key. But I guess windows 8.1 will do for now.

Hate on it all you like, it's not a bad OS. Little clunky at first, but there's third party applications that fix that. Loads and runs fast.

I know a lot of people aren't a fan of Windows 8, but from what I've read it seems like most of what they don't like is all cosmetic based. There isn't anything wrong with the operating system itself. Plus Windows 8 runs more efficiently than WIndows 7. After I found a fantastic article on Lifehacker about how to make Windows 8 look like Windows 7, I didn't see any reason not to go with it. I haven't had any problems or annoyances with it yet.

I prefer 8.1 over 7, so to me its pretty good. still cant wait for windows 10 though.

Nice upgrade from Windows 7, but should wait for Windows 10, it's basically Windows 7 + Windows 8.1 in 1.

Not a fan - I'll be honest that I need to get used to it before I can give a better review but it just seems clunky and poorly optimized for desktop use.

Not as bad as people claim it is, I don't know my way around it fully which can make it a bit confusing, but It's absolutely fine if you're willing to take the time to learn how it works.

Not sure what everyone's got against Windows 8. I love this operating system - it's quick to use and boot, easy to pick up, and the search bar does a fantastic job of finding features you thought you'd lost from Windows 7.
