Really nice card. The temps on it are absolutely amazing. Mine usually idles at 30 celsius and the highest i’ve had it get to was 70 celsius because I was gaming all day. It is a great card and the only frame drops I ever got was on un-optimized games.

from completed build First time build!

WOW! I've never owned anything like this so I'm probably biased and the only dedicated GPU I've owned to compare it to is an RX550. But in direct comparison to that my RX 550 idled at about 38-42C and the RTX 2080 idles at 37-40C. Idk how you can pack that much more power into a card and come up with a cooling solution better than the rx 550 being only 35W card lol. Hottest I ever got the rx 550 was 72C when gaming and the hottest I've gotten the GTX 2080 is 69C. I'm more of a quality over frames person when it comes to the single player experience but now getting to experience both is just next level.

Update: Repasted GPU with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. Shaved a few degrees off idle down to 32-38C. I use a custom fan curve to keep the GPU below 70. 1500rpm both fans until 68*C then 1700 until 70 when it hits 2000rpm on both fans. This will keep the card at 68-69C pulling 260-270W. Room temp 21.1C

Quite the upgrade from my Gtx 1080 This thing is huge. Driver issues and software conflicts cause screen to wig out. Had BSOD a few times eventually got it worked out tho. For the cost of this thing the bugs should have been ironed out a little better. But overall a monster card.

Very solid feeling card with lovely build quality. Comes with a included GPU brace. Performance is brilliant despite the misgivings about RTX, etc.

from completed build I thought I knew what I was doing

It works like a 2080 should, but it is HEAVY. if you are going to mount it horizontally in your system use some sort of brace to hold this thing up.

MSI is my preference for graphics card, and choosing 2080 instead of 2080Ti is due to my personal feeling on still not accepting a graphics card can be priced closely and even above HK$10,000 (US$1,280)...

Monster.. by size, weight and performance. Also running very cool and quiet. The price was very good compared to other options, plus I got a bunch of gifts with it. Overall the best performance you can get for this price and good looking GPU, but the weight of it is just intimidating.. The support bracket doesn't support anything and you will get the sacked GPU over time for sure :)

Not a very good overclocker (+100 core clock/+300 mem.) but what can you expect when it's already overclocked out the box? No problems at all.

Massive, but goes wonderful with my case. RGB is beautiful and the build quality feel so nice. Still need to do testing with more games. But first impressions were awesome.

Excellent GPU. I game at 1440p and it has run every game I have thrown at it flawlessly. I have yet to find a game where I can't get at least 90fps at this resolution. Easy to overclock and the aesthetics are amazing. PLUS The RGB is a beautiful thing ;)
