Gigabyte G1 Windforce gtx 970 (sli) - Both of these cards have not had any problems with performance and sli works great. I have reached nearly 1600mhz on both cards when overclocking and I have seen a maximum temperature of 80 degrees Celsius.

Very quite and is probably the best 1080p Nvidia graphics card out, had the money for a 980ti but I honestly don't need it as I will be using FSX most of the time which is a CPU based program. Tested on CS:GO and getting 300 fps on full setting. Will update fps of other games in the future.

One of the best GTX 970s out there and if you can get it on sale this is a great card though not quite as good as the R9 390.

The best 970 that won my GTX 970 checklist for most headroom for overclock, cooling and that sexy back plate. The Windforce blue LED logo was also a plus for my blue/white themed PC.

If u going buy 970 today my advice for you: take Gygabite Xtreme Gaming. This G1 actually enough loud for non-reference GTX 970.

When I boot up Sim 3 I get an annoying coil whine for a bit... not sure why. It does it with a couple other games but I can't honestly remember which ones, mostly older ones if I remember right.
I wasn't super fond of the blue led that came with it so I swapped it out for a white one.
Runs everything completely maxed out @1080p. Skyrim with 200+ mods and RealVision ENB Full @ constant 40-50fps outdoors and 60fps indoors.

This card is a freaking champion. Had it stable at just over 1550MHz, which is an impressive OC. It's sexy, the triple-fan cooler is quiet yet incredibly efficient, the thing is a foot-long though, so space might be an issue for some. Going to pick up a second one soon on the cheap for SLI. :D

GPU: Windforce cards are just so beautiful to look at. Plus I wanted a 970 as opposed to a 960 or lower to keep from having to upgrade down the line. I could've really saved up for a 980Ti but I couldn't see myself needing it that much to justify the price difference. This particular 970 whines very harshly if I don't set a 60fps cap on the framerate, which makes complete sense to do if you have a 60 fps monitor like me.

Really decent performance, great looks with the blue LED "WINDFORCE" logo as well as relatively cool card, no fanless mode (Can be bios hacked and very easy), beware this card is extremely long and some midtower cases and most matx or itx cases may need to lose drive cages fans etc to fit. Beware some cards may have noticeable coil whine, choose PSUs wisely!!
