Little pricey compare to Intel, but great motherboard overall. Asus is quick on new BIOS.

    Overall:
Being a long time ASUS ROG enthusiast, the Crosshair 6 was the natural fit for the Ryzen CPU. The early adopter issues have been quite frustrating to deal with, and that's coming from someone who's built PCs for 20 years and often gotten in early on new releases!

    Pros:
    1) ASUS / ROG brand, utilities and quality
    2) RGB Auro sync / board looks great

    Cons:
    1) AMD rushing the Ryzen out, Asus had 2 weeks to get the boards ready! Stability issues, should be sorted within a few months.
    2) Availability early on, makes RMAs very painful
    3) Overclocking / AMD / DDR4, all very immature and unknown how it will pan out
    4) Would love to have been able to wait for the ROG Code / Formula / Extreme, where are they? :)

After BIOS updates I recommend this board, it's stable now. It can perform auto-bios updates which is nice and cmos reset button on the back is convenient. It doesn't seem to work with Aida64 though, some issue with the sensors, but that's just an inconvenience.

Good MOBO with lots of features especially if your watercooling. Board has pump headers, flow headers, and the fan headers that can provide 12W of power each. some early ones were bricking but I guess I got a good one.

So far, this board has had some trouble. ASUS was rather quiet about this motherboards backwards compatibility with AM3 coolers. RAM speeds are not what they should be. My RAM is 3000 MHz out of the box, but the board wont clock the RAM any higher than 2133 MHz, yet the board supports 2666 MHz. Optimization takes time but it is very aggravating knowing you're only using 1/3 of your speed.

Seems like all AM4 boards have some issues surrounding the RAM and BIOS's. This one has given me no issues I couldn't find an easy solution for.

RAM doesn't go past 2133mhz while stable??? Asus Aura sucks and freezes and doesn't even show the motherboard on there either.

I don't really want to knock any stars off this motherboard as it truly is a great motherboard, it's just AM4 is a newborn but lots of updates and stability will come to pass eventually.
