This boars not only performs beautifully, but is in itself absolutely gorgeous. It makes for easy stable overclocking with the use of the training AI and overall broad range of control options.

Beautiful board. Lots of great features LOVE the aesthetics of this board. The added VRM Water Block ties right into my water loop and I love being able to see more of the blue fluid running in my system.

Not too many complaints from me, but I'm not one to thoroughly review this motherboard since I am not using a custom loop. I'm in it for the OLED. I don't doubt that it will tie into any custom loop well.
This board really should not have RGB LEDs if they are going to be this dim. The Asus product page really overhypes them, and I can't really see any of them through the smoked glass of the Obsidian 500D.
While I'm not knowledgeable on the topic, the VRM on this motherboard and some of its other Maximus XI counterparts did come under fire for being what seems like a 4-phase advertised as an 8-phase.

Have loved Asus for many years had a Asus laptop many years ago (when they first started entering the pc scene) As well as when doing reviews nothing but good things came up in quality and customer support for them.
I know currently I'm not using the liquid cooling block , its coming soon. Need to learn a bit more and then get all the supplies. Even some extra tubing so I can practice the cuts and bends, don't worry this rig will be liquid cooled.

I chose this specific model due to the aesthetics and plethora of connections on the I/O panel. I didn't need Wi-Fi built in, either. This board looks lovely in my build, but be warned the RGB aspect of it is VERY dull. You have to nearly press up against the smoked tempered glass to see it through the other RGB components. I simply turned it off since it's nearly unnoticeable. The board easily overclocked my 9900k, despite the supposedly misleading VRM specifications. I just used Asus's excellent UEFI and EZ overclocking to bump up the 9900k to an easy 5Ghz across all cores. The small built in LCD screen is a cool feature, though I haven't delved into it much to learn how and what I can do with it. It displays my CPU temps at all times, and shows all POST codes when booting up. A neat feature of that, is that it shows what codes pertain to what components as it boots (HDD, RAM, CPU, etc).
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the look, performance, and I/O of this board, but I'm subtracting a full star due to the poor RGB performance.
