from completed build White Workbox - Ryzen 9 3900X ITX

Great performance and price! The Ryzen 9 platform brought a wonderful experience to this build. 12-Cores was a welcoming addition to video editing and it is a rendering beast! Especially while multitasking from different applications for content creation.

    A solid processor.

Insane performance for $500. There are some issues being an early adopter, but they aren't significant. Unless of course, you want to play Destiny 2...

God Damn FAST. I've not even scratched its surface yet. Next week when I have all the VMs setup this will be put to EXCELLENT use. I cant wait to put this horse into the race. Idle's slightly higher than what I was expecting. But hey when it works no complaints. (Have not overclocked it yet, will do that in the next few weeks)

Way overkill for my purposes but has been a beast, tackling anything I've thrown at it with ease.

Amazing processor. I'm using it for editing with Davinci Resolve and it has been a champ so far.

    from completed build RY23480V3

Fantastic CPU for content creators, workstation users, and hardware enthusiasts. However, there are two glaring issues:

    1. You need a motherboard with particularly good VRMs; I would suggest no less than the VRMs found in the X470 AORUS GAMING 7.

    2. You need a rather beefy 280mm CLC or massive air cooler, such as the Corsair H115i or be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 to handle this 12-core behemoth's thermal output under heavy workloads, because the stock Prism isn't enough.

    from completed build Aurora

Beast of a CPU. Handles everything I throw at it (gaming, video editing, streaming, virtual machines) with flying colors. Thanks to AMD for bringing 12c/24t CPUs to consumers.

    from completed build Velox

This CPU slaps. Even with lazy air cooling it keeps low temps under load.

I dislike the mounting mechanism on the stock cooler - give me screws! I don't care about how the mount is screwless; I'm already dealing with 8,000 screws and they fit better than whatever weird mechanism cpu manufacturers come with.

Ridiculously fast for the price in multi-threaded applications, if you do any sort of 3D rendering in Maya/ Blender etc this will do the job.

from completed build Workstation Build 2019

Doesn't boost to 4.6 as advertised, otherwise good.
