No problemo, I never imagined that I would hit the $5k mark with this build. It just happened over time. Patience is key. A lot of what I have in this build was purchased during really good deals. Some not so much....

You just missed Valentine's Day though may find something for President's day. I really had my eyes on the Clear Acrylic waterblock though they sold out before the deal hit. I'm still satisfied with the straight black blocks and actually think they compliment the barf. The white case contrasts well with the motherboard, GPU's, and Radiators when they are outlined with the RGB components. I was really impressed with the EVGA Hybrid AIO Design and how well it dissipated heat from the GPU. EVGA Hybrid Stock AIO showed temps as high as 60c in SLI, with the waterblocks I'm steady in the low 50c. Also know that even if they do not have any deals, with EKWB parts you are qualified for free shipping.

Appreciate the compliment. Grew up with Toonami and Cowboy Bebop. It was a great foundation set for my future Anime endeavors. The Little Prince is also a personal favorite. Need a pick-me-up here and there and having it where it is helps.

Tubing is indeed amazing. Originally wanted to work with borosilicate glass tubing and then I saw these beauties at Performance-pcs and knew it would be a bit easier to work with. Wasn't keen on cutting glass. PETG isn't as shiny.

Destiny Max settings at 3620x2036 DSR is around 70-90FPS, Rise of the Tomb Raider at 3620x2036 DSR at Max settings is also around 100 FPS. Added a few pictures of Benchmarks.

JMMods.com may be able to help with a backplate for that GPU? Some space at the top for an AIO. Possibly something like the Corsair - H100i RGB Platinum? For me this took years just to plan and decide what would look best. I purchase the EK fittings before settling on the Copper Tubings. Patience pays off.

Nice Build! Started out the same with mine which is still being upgraded here and there. Still have to upgrade the CPU and Mobo. Waiting for what I9 9900K beings to the table though I really want to go team AMD. Just because of how much they've grown these past few years. The motherboard I hear is future proof for the next batch of AMD Zen 2 CPUs. People comment that this board is overkill now though when AMD reveals a 10 core 5GHz monster this board will still provide enough power to it. If not the option of having a CPU manufacturer state the socket will be supported through 2020 is also awesome!

Nice setup! Have a question since you mentioned you'd swap the GPU cooler with a custom loop if this impacted performance any or if you've seen any temperature differences? I have the same card was considering a custom loop as well.

Love how compact it is! Color scheme is also pleasant to the eye. 50 Shades of Gray come to mind :) I can only imagine this required a lot of planning to execute this build the way you did.

Most definitely finding those head scratching moments add a level of excitement and fear in a custom build. The artisans of our age working with one's own hands. it's very satisfying to put effort and time into a build and just figure things out or venture from your comfort zone a bit to see "will this work?". Even more so rewarding when things work out in the end and you're able to take a moment to take in what you just created. I've worked on the same system ever since 2012 and have had a blast just indulging in my curiosity.

Awesome Sleeper PC! Disguised like a regular console, hiding the power inside! I can only imagine what problems you faced when trying to fit everything into the case. Props on the build!

Mr. Tight Tolerances! Amazing Build! Very impressive! Dedication and time went into this build and I can only imagine how much troubleshooting you had to go through to get everything where you wanted it. Always fun to run into those unexpected situations where you have to sit back and go "now wait a minute". Ran into that with the Corsair 570X case using an EK SE 240 Rad at the top. Same situation where the Ram or Mobo would almost bud up against each other.

I've always wanted to use custom cable work as well and this one came out awesome! Working with cable management was always a "meh" thing for me in the past though with new cases showing off those sexy angles it's something I'll have to go into for the future.

I agree! Especially for AMD AM4. I'm happy to see competition making waves. It was satisfying to see Intel try and steal AMD's hype with their 28 core processor and 8086K @ 5GHz and really see AMD just brush them off with a new 32 core processor! You can tell from previous boards that manufacturers put their best into Intel based boards though now we're seeing quality and stylish boards with AMD. Latest TUF boards seem to have lost their trademark dust/heat shroud though I hope they bring it back! Working with a custom loop, those covers have saved my rig a few times when I either run into a leak while power cycling or accidental spills while filling it up. It does also help keep dust from collecting on the board. Most of all just looks badass.

I'm excited to see what other TUF boards will appear in the future! I researched current TUF boards for AMD though wasn't really impressed. I can tell Intel was really everyone's main concern when it came to designing and improving workstation/gaming mobos. Now with AMD on the Ryze I hope Asus and MSI will work more towards offering both stylish and more durable mobos. I noticed Asus was offering backplates as well with some boards and hope to have a TUF board with that to help with GPU sag. I'm happy with what I have now though I am itching to tear everything apart and work from square one again. It's incredibly satisfying to work on something with your own hands and then see the results. More so when things just work out!

With the Asus Sabertooth Z77 and Memory modules, it was difficult with anything larger than 30mm thickness. I used an EKWB Slim 240mm Radiator. It is only 28mm thick and allowed for it to mount at the top with two normal corsair fans. Even with how thin it was, I still had to take out the corsair ram sticks and then install the rad and fans. After they were securely mounted, I could reinstall my memory. At first I didn't know what the tolerances were and purchased the case. After receiving it I saw the problem and had to order the Slim Radiator to fit two in this case. I wish Corsair had made the case a tad bit taller to allow for a normal radiator at the top. I'm sure with a little modification you could though at the moment I'm happy with the slim rad there. Temps are a degree hotter than with a normal rad though nothing that draws a concern.

Thoroughly looking through the inside I can only imagine how stressful and tight the tolerances were in this build. Especially with hard line bends around the GPU and then cable management. I'm looking forward to a custom hard line loop though I'm still waiting for either AMD or Intel to bring something worth my appetite to the table.

How are the fans? Give you any trouble?

Correct, you wouldn't require an SLI bridge if you decided to go for one dedicated to rendering and the other for Physx. Nvidia also has an option in its control panel where it can Auto Assign where it calculated Physx whether between GPUs or even the CPU. I've normally just let it do its thing and auto assign.

For now though I'm gaming more than anything which utilizes both GPUs best with SLI enabled and kinda tinkering here and there seeing what else my rig is capable of.

Still looking forward to the day we see next-gen GPUs that are well rounded for the future. That and being able to buy two at a time so I won't have to worry about mix-matched batches lol.

Even with different bios and overclocks they can still be used in SLI. In MSI Afterburner I just select each card and inpout the different settings. SLI works best.

If I decided to go with mix-matched GPUs it would really turn one into a Physx card. The load wouldn't really be shared equally between the two cards. Even with matching GPUs you have the option in Nvidia Control Panel to turn one into a dedicated Physx card. I currently have both GPUs set with different bios and overclocked with different settings. GPU 1 is at 1.359 MHz core clock with Mem at 3.549 MHz GPU 2 is at 1.372 MHz core clock with Mem at 3.240 MHz

Appreciate the compliment! I know right! They're still capable at 1440p though so I'll just wait to see what Nvidia and AMD have in store for us. Intel as well in 2020 will be joining the ranks in the GPU world.

I fully agree. The main reason why I choose the board from Asus was due to their awesome 5 Year Warranty. It just blew their competition out of the water and it looks amazing for its time. I wanted something that would catch the eye and had the power to back it up. Pairing this with the i7 3770K was amazing. With help from Overclock.net I was able to immediately hit 4.5 GHz with this board no problem. Over the years curiosity got the better of me with delidding the CPU and replacing the thermal compound. I started with Arctic Silver and now have Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut between the IHS and CPU die with Innovation Cooling Graphite Thermal Pad 40 x 40 between the IHS and EK waterblock. Tops at 70-80c in synthetic benchmarks like Prime95 or Cinebench. Normal workloads would peak in the low 70c then drop between 50-60c.

Appreciate the support. The GTX 780's are powerhouses even today. They can handle 1440p with high to ultra settings on almost all games staying above 30 FPS and topping at 60 due to the monitor's FPS cap. I tried hooking them up to a 4K TV though with only 3GB of memory per card it just wasn't cutting it. I'll continue to add/upgrade where possible until I see something that can finally set my old beast to rest. Though for now I'm still a happy gamer.
