There is. I have three fans in the front currently.
Recently got the Thermaltake 3.0 ultimate triple radiator setup and my temps are much quieter now. Check out my build if you would like to find out more.
That sounds more accurate.
18 idle and 32 load on cpu? That's incredibly low for the H100i.
It is preferred.
4.3ghz at 1.3 volts. I got the thermaltake water 3.0 ultimate so it is much better temperatures now. A single rad aio is just not enough for the 5820k. Thanks!
It wasn't recently built.
No worries. I just don't want to see your build not reach its maximum potential. The adapter is maybe 5 dollars.
Ahh. It's a usb dongle. I hadn't noticed. Thought it was one of those pci cards.
You are only receiving 25mbs when 5.5 meters away? Something doesnt sound quite right there. Are you on a/b/g/n? Which one specifically? With my setup I have ac mostly, but even with older devices on the n network I am getting consistent speeds with what i receive right next to it even when in my backyard.
Just a suggestion, you might want to get an adapter for your gpu to get that monitor to work. Right now with that extra gpu in your rig you are eating up pci-e lanes and I bet your gpu is only running at 8x instead of 16x. 16x might not make that big of a difference, but it may be able to get you some extra frames.
I feel like you are having high idle temps on your cpu because since the pump is integrated into the block, it is also having to disperse the heat of the pump into the loop. Have you checked the dimensions of the EK Predator 240? It has the integrated pump and you can get it with the quick disconnects to add the gpu as well.
I definitely would if I were you. Its not that expensive and it is so much better than air cooling or a single rad option.
Reminds me of 90% of the liquid cooled rigs from the early 2000's with the color scheme and tubing runs. +1 for the throwback. Great build.
Every build within the last month, there is always someone who states exactly as he said. It's not necessary. It's an obvious statement. If you want a 980 ti hybrid, then that is your choice and no one else's. It is still a hell of a card that can keep up with any game on the market.
That grin in the reflection of the case shows how happy you are with this build. +1 for enthusiasm!
There's always one.
Thanks man. And yea, I am thinking of getting some cable extensions from CableMods. However, my new plan is to sell my 980 and get two RX 480's when they are released. One is more powerful than a 980, and two for 400? Can't beat that. Andthey gpu temps are awesome with the H80i GT. I definitely recommend this AIO because it has a massively thick radiator. So it disperses heat very well. Under load I have yet to see the GPU hit 65c.
Thanks! I appreciate your support!
Indeed. Only thing stock in this build from the Alienware anymore is the CPU and GPU.
Thanks man! And it is decent compared to a lot of other builds out there! I'm being modest I guess.
It definitely is. Much better temps and so much quieter. Also, performs a lot better as well.
I surely don't have a ton of money my friend. I wish that was the case. I simply have been buying a part or two each time I get payed. This rig is almost 2 years in the making.
Haha thanks for the plus one.
For a gpu, I absolutely love it. It works so well. My gpu rarely touches 65. As for a cpu cooler, I would suggest at least a 240 rad aio.
Thought about it, but I honestly don't know how much the psu is worth.
No worries. I could mount it to the front, but the tubes might have trouble reaching, and also, I'd have to remove all the hard drive cages. Which I need for all my HDD's.
I tried that first, but due to the large size of the rad, it was hitting the raised up part of the case that makes room for the io. Trust me, I tried. :( But thanks for your input!
Dude. Cool Ranch Doritos and Mountain Dew in the parts list. You, sir, are awesome. +infinity for creativity and being a baller.
How does the H80i GT perform for you? I have it as well on ym 5820k and it is overclocked to 4.3 Ghz and I am getting low 40's just on idle alone. What temps are you running at?

Great build. +1 for making it all fit!
Good budget build. Only thing I would recommend is instead of a 1 TB drive, get an SSD first. That way you will be good on performance, then purchase a storage drive later when the SSD begins to fill. Also, if you want an aftermarket CPU cooler I suggest the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo. It's only 25 dollars if I remember correctly and it is a very highly rated aftermarket CPU cooler.
I would wait for a third party company to make the card with a better cooler design. That will definitely help with temperatures. Or you could always get the hybrid when it is released or buy the cheapest 1080 you can and put a liquid cooler on yourself using a Corsair bracket. That's what I did with my 980 reference card.
Great build. However, I don't suggest getting a SC edition of the founder's edition. The standard founder's edition alone with no oc has some thermal throttling issues. Only way to fix it is to run fans at 100% all the time. So I doubt you want a SC edition which puts out more heat. Just a forewarning.
That's been proven to be negligible. Maybe a 1-2 degree difference.
Your cpu only went up 4 degrees from idle to load? Impressive.
One more question. Did you order your gpu with the predator attachments pre-installed or did you have to find the parts yourself?
Glad to hear it. I am definitely going to make the switch.
Ahh. Even better. Someone else's misery is your best day yet!
Whew! That makes me relieved to hear. I thought you got screwed over with a sagging gpu right off the bat! Glad to hear that's not the case.
Is it just me or is the video card sagging pretty bad? Maybe it's just the lighting playing tricks on me.
