What is the tablet with the PC monitoring info? Is that just software, or a specific tablet? Also very nice desk setup!

Is your case a modified Thermaltake Core X5? I built my 1950X in Core X5, your build looks better!

Thanks for creating/building PcPartPicker and also being an ethical company. I found PCPartPicker this past year and it has been very helpful. Glad it is also helpful to those in need.

Glad to help support this while also finding a lot of useful information in my builds. A question, I see most of the wells say sponsor: "The Carmichael Family". Are those PCPartpicker sponsored wells, or does it say something different?

Yea my bad, I hadn't read the full thing. It ended up being RAM incompatibility. Looked up approved vendor list including RAM on the ASUS website, and figured it out. Luckily had compatible RAM in another build.

Did you figure out your issue with booting? I have same MOBO and 1 Samsung 960. I can only get to BIOS if I Clear CMOS and boot. Starting to take things apart.

I have same CPU, MOBO, and Storage. How was your windows install?, I am having issues. Windows installed but not booting from Storage. Have to hit CMOS to get to BIOS.

Yep on a plane. Potential pieces coming unaligned due to transit. I like the idea of a travel computer with more kick than a laptop.

If scalping, I would suggest a direct Ethernet connection to your router over wireless.

Have you flown with this? If so, did you need to fix pieces after the flight before getting up and running?

I have been planning out a new build for back testing and optimization of trading strategies, so I found your build to be quite interesting. The software I use can take advantage of multiple cores/threads so the more the better. I had not seen the ThreadRipper announcement, 16 cores would definitely be a BEAST, and I may have to wait to see if worth it.

Just curious, why not go with AMD Ryzen 1800X with 8 cores for comparable price to Intel 6850K with 6 cores?
