35c at idle is very good, you should push that thing to 5.0!
Great build, but I think you way overpaid for that GPU. $499 is too much for a 1070, as I can find a 1070 Ti for around $350.
What case fans are those? They are hot!
Yeah, probably not. Maybe 3-5 depending on how fast games progress to better graphics.
What speakers are those? I noticed they aren't under your parts list, and I am actually looking for some speakers at the moment.
Can you post more pictures? These are very low quality, can't see much from this.
Well, then that isn't considered a "true gamer", that would be a casual gamer. If you just hop on for fun, you should go for a console. Some people still play console, even for competitive use, which is okay, but using a PC for that scenario would be easier because of non-locked frame rate, customize-able graphics, etc. Also, you can use a controller on PC if you are more comfortable with that.
You can build a low-end PC for around $550-700 and still outperform consoles in every aspect. The only reason that consoles still exist is because of their reduced prices through bulk purchasing of hardware and small form factors, and simplicity. If you are a true gamer, you should opt-in for a PC.
Ryzen is more than suitable for gaming. Although recent benchmarks have shown that Intel is better for gaming over price for performance, the extra threads that come with Ryzen really makes other tasks a breeze, better than Intel could do.
Yeah, that's definitely not a mid-range build, I'd say high-end.
Do you ever have plans to route the monitor cables in the wall? It would make it so much cleaner!
I can guarantee it's just staff-picked.
Awesome, thanks! I probably won't be changing my motherboard since I most likely won't be utilizing overclocking unless I need to.
Ok, thanks a lot! I never even noticed that page existed. Also, what types of "newer features" does the 2700X have that the X370 doesn't support?
Finally, a build with the Dark Base Pro case.
Yes, more pictures
I've updated the part list with the new monitor.
I actually prefer to have a 128 GB SSD because all I am installing on it is Windows and maybe some other software. Otherwise, thanks for the build. I'll research more into how this can benefit me.
Yes, but I still want to leave head-room if I wanted to upgrade other things too, like RAM and CPU.
I picked that monitor because it's cheap and has IPS. It's also a smaller 21.3" monitor which I prefer over large 25" monitors.
Not sure why you changed the RAM, as the price went up $40 for no reason.
I picked the 650W PSU because I plan to upgrade to a 1080 in the future.
I'd like to keep my current monitor, as it's my favorite one too.
CPU cooler but not an overclockable CPU?
Yeah, you can get a i7-7700K which is 0.2 GHz faster for $20 less.
Why the i7-4790K? There are much better CPUs in that price range. Otherwise, great build!
What's that smell?
Could it be...
I think this build deserves the featured spot. This has all of my favorite parts, even the CPU, memory, video card, and fans. <3
Can you link it for me?
EDIT: Never mind, just found it. Updated table for latest parts
Ok, thanks. I'll go with that and update the part list.
Edit: when I was looking for 128 GB SSDs, I only saw $280+. I'm a big fan of Samsung so I like to stick with that.
I didn't even see that section under the forums.
Full description when?
Can you add more pictures and maybe add more to the description to why you actually bought this PC and what you use it for?
Nah, I was actually just joking about the wallpaper, I was just saying that it is some good pictures. Also nice pun.
You were right
This is the cleanest build I've ever seen. And damn that is a lot of fans...
Christmas must of came early for you!
Update: Picture #18 was my favorite, I might consider setting it as my background.
WEW subtle $3000 increase
I prefer the 1080's over Titans. Lol
Yes, not enough.
This is actually the best build I've seen on this site in a long time, but that might just be because I haven't seen this site in months. +1
EDIT: People should really stop complaining about things that you did wrong in your build. It's an overall great build!
