Etching cream I got at Michael's (an arts and craft store). Used a vinyl stencil that I had cut at my work.

I cut out some vinyl stencils and then just used spray paint. For the transitioning to the glass I put one large stencil on the whole side, then cut along the seam so I could remove the glass and etch it.
