Well aren't you a special snowflake.

Never had three chests there, only ever had two. I usually win the duels there, hence why I like landing there. I just suck at building. I've started going to Wailing Woods to gather a ton of wood and practice building.

Samsung Galaxy S8. Got it when it was released and it's still running just as good. Had a Note 4 before that and a S4 before that, they've all done me well.

I enjoyed the first one, but only if playing with friends, otherwise I found it a bit tedious. I haven't played it in a long time. So I'm looking forward to the second one.

Isn't C++ really hard to learn? I thought I'd start somewhere easier to get the hang of it lol

I do plan on learning it at one point, just thought the three I mentioned would be good stepping stones.

Python because it seems to be the go to language for beginners. The other two just thought would be good next steps. I've just always wanted to learn coding and never got around to it, so decided to start now.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "What do you like to do in your free time?"

  • 1 point

My free time consists of eating, watching TV shows or movies, working out (gotta burn the calories), playing video games, skyping my girlfriend (long distance relationship) and recently I've started to learn Python. I used to play football (soccer) a lot but that's cut down to hardly anything lately. I also enjoy seeing historical landmarks/buildings, and the occasional museum (I'm just fascinated with life in the past).

I also want to learn how to drift as well, but will also have to be somewhere down the line. I really want to take up archery too.

I played it when it was released, got bored of it because I had no-one to play with and they took too long to add new stuff to it. Plus the people I was matched with were pretty bad most of the times. I would do the art museum heist by myself on private and only make it public when I needed help getting the money out so it didn't take too long. I've completely forgotten how to play it, might pick it up again since a lot of things have been added to it.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Were you bullied in school? Or witnessed bullying?"

In my early teens there was a guy who was about 3-4 years older than me and enjoyed bullying kids younger than him. We have a football cage where I live, and it had some slits next the goals. I was walking past and put he reached through the slit and grabbed my collar and said 'Who the **** you looking at'. I grabbed his arm and hit it against the pole, and ran home (I wasn't about to get into a fight with someone older than me). Me being the nice person that I am, I went out to apologize. I says sorry to him and he tells me to get on my knees and say sorry, I reply with no, he goes 'I won't tell you again, get on your knees and say sorry'. At this point he was getting angry, and I had to options, either get on my knees and punch him where it hurts, or say no. As I'm not a violent person, I said no. He tries to floor me, I counter it and floor him instead, put him in a headlock and start punching his face. He couldn't get out. His luck was my neighbour came out and separated us. He's hated me ever since.

America has more guns than people, America also has one of the highest rates of gun crime. While there are rules and regulations put it place to purchase a weapon, it is much easier to do compared to, for this example because I live there, the UK. The country with one of the most strict gun laws making almost impossible to get one, but yet there are still a over a million guns registered, and they have one of the lowest gun crime rates in the world. However, the UK has high crime at knife point rates, which bring me to my previous point on this thread, people are the problem, not guns. So making it more difficult to get a gun (I dunno, mandatory psych tests or something) might make things better. It's just a thought.

I understand that, I also understand that every state has different laws on guns. I'm not saying you can go to a store pick one up and walk out. I'm saying it's much easier to own one in America. I live in the UK, they are one of the most strict countries when it comes to owning a gun, so that's the comparison I'm using.

Never said anything about stopping the selling of guns, was just saying that it shouldn't be as easy as it is to obtain one. Guns aren't the problem, people are.

I don't think guns are evil, I think people are evil. But do I think the gun situation in the US is out of control? Yes. Because it's too easy for those evil people to get their hands on them. Can it be avoided? Nope, they will find a way eventually. Can it be be reduced? Possibly.

It's a double edged sword really.

Ahh okay, that makes more sense. But, the guns back then were much larger than now and harder to conceal, and would make a shooting like the one that recently happened very difficult for one person to do alone. That's what I was referring to.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Is the answer to shootings more security?"

The answer to less shootings is simple, strict gun control. Please correct me if I'm wrong, and forgive my ignorance, but the Second Amendment was adopted late 18th century, when they still used muskets, which took ages to reload and only had one shot. Today, guns have a much higher rate of fire and are much more easy to reload, so from my understanding, it's severely outdated.

Then I definitely recommend picking up Blackwake.

For Subnautica it really depends on you, for me personally it doesn't have that much replayability, but it's still worth the price tag.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "What game should I buy?"

PUBG is a lot more fun with friends, but you can play drop in squads and if you're lucky you can get some good games.

Subnautica is a beautiful game, but can get a bit repetitive. Building a base is always fun though.

From what you said it seems like you don't like early access games, but may I also recommend Blackwake. While obviously more fun with friends, it is very reliant on teamwork that everyone is always communicating. The developers are very active and there's an big updating rolling out soon.

But value for money, I'd say PUBG.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Is SSD worth it?"

  • 1 point

Yes it is worth is to have an SSD. Downside though is that they are much more expensive than a HDD especially when you get into the TB zone. If you have the money go for it.

If you want faster boot time you can get a 250GB variant for a reasonable price for the time being, where you can store your most used programs as well. Gives you more free space on your 2TB HDD for your games without windows on there.

Unless you were in direct contact with any of the parts that can be damaged then no. Plus I doubt you picking up a screw would create enough electrical charge to damage your SSD.

When I built my PC I wanted to upgrade it later on, but now that RAM and GPU are so expensive I don't see a reason coughing up so much money on an upgrade. I bought my RAM for £73 at the time, now the same ram costs me £177, it's ridiculous. I missed the chance to buy a GTX 980Ti for £250 (or there abouts) on Prime Day last year, still kicking myself for it...

Well the downvote button is there for a reason, you see someone doing that then click it, they go into minus and whoever asked for advice will think twice before taking theirs. Plus you can also comment on whatever they post letting them know where they went wrong, if they take it on board is completely up to them. Not really a big issue if you use the tools you are given.
