awesome man thx!
bless us with more pics :)
2 kewl dude!
ive only ever used evga kinda had a superstition since i hadnt got a bad one lol have u had bad exp with theM?
at the time $243...ive had it sitting around new for like a yr
i known its gone up in price but what hurt the most in this build was spending $10 more for 8gb of less ram thas slower ;(
really been wanting a x58 motherboard capable of OCing as my old i7 920 is with a gateway oem board
thx for the info and pics
had the same 960 and paired with an older i5 3330 could play bf1 on ultra preset....its still quite a good GPU
do u plan on upgrading soonish?
i dont currently have bf1 installed...really need another ssd BUT i do know for sure Arma3, GTA5, PlayerUnknowns, and yeah tarkov and im sure others use more than 8gb of ram
many many people play EA alpha, beta, or w/e early version of games...many AAA titles are released in much worse shape than some alphas
ur gonna be at the limit if u want high/ultra settings in bf1 with 8gb of ram
are ur temps still that high? i had a less extreme example when i wasnt securing the cooler evenly and it was mushing the paste to one side
the fx8300 i craigD only had paste covering half but had plenty applied so its def something that can be overlooked, just an idea ;)
games def need more than 8gb of ram...prolly not this setup exactly but jus about every game i play uses over 8...even bf1 from my exp
and games like escape from tarkov are using around 15gb of ram
ur right about windows using more when more is available but i dont understand how that isnt ideal
cpu = $111
had gpu, ram, and HD from an older pc (and the blue fan)
may i suggest hardware monitor or something? just make sure ur cpu isnt idling like super high in the bios at least as to make sure the thermal paste spread around enough ;) just a suggestion...like the build! =]
keep an eye out on craigslist for your area for cases i craigD a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv tempered glass still n the box for 75 man and moved my pc from the corsair 750d into it
do more research than i did because my temps where horid at first...forced to mount the AIO rad on the front witha push pull just to get similar temps BUT it worked and looks kewl
lots of dust built up in the 750d but it had great airflow (prolly just my house)
Doom Slayer aka THA DUKE!
the xfx 460 i had handled bf1 NP and the card stayed very cool
haha =] i was hoping it helped it sale...got rid of it pretty quick
right on, thx for the reply and good luck!
thank you for the speedy reply =]
did u have to flash the mobo for the cpu?
did u get a gpu im curious about the performance?
i think all ddr4 runs at those speeds and the speed advertised is with the xmp profile? dont quote me on that tho
should remain maintenance free for the length of its life, save for blowing out the rad and fans
for how much? it runs games pretty well altho i only tested it on an older acer monitor which maxes at 1600x900 but ultra on bf1 steady 60fps
haha i kinda feel the same =]
i built back in nov and my max VIII hero alpha was pushing into the 1.4s on the default settings...now i have it set to 1.29 at 4.5ghz and it jumps up between 1.29-1.34...i ran it on def (1.4s) for like 2 days but didnt have the system on much as i was just installing stuff but still kinda creepy
beautiful and clean!
that light flashing is ur hard drive or ssd activity im pretty sure ;)
im stable at 4.5 with 1.29v that jumps up to 1.31 to 1.34
so far its held up to my requests which is basically being on 24/7 and random gaming sessions
OH, and not even i noticed i left the SLI covers on the GPU lol...luckily they seemed fine when i pulled them off (not misshapen or anything)
research the FTW cards before purchasing but yeah this looks nice...every1 talks about the psu but an evga should be jus fine least shouldnt like burn down the neighborhood lol
also believe it would receive much better air flow and be able to dissipate heat more efficiently in the upper slot
thx for the vid =] i tried doing a multiplier OC of 4.4ghz but i had left the volts on auto and it was jumping into the 1.4+ yikes!
this video helped alot!
im not to sure but when researching i remember reading or hearing that having your psu at its max limit is not good for its life or your system
also i plug in alot of stuff to the pc...controller, joystick, wheel, + all at once so i dunno if that helps that or not
could add another gpu in the future and not have to upgrade psu is the main reason i believe but i think having headroom on your psu is a good thing
this one was on a fan header...the fan plugs in still np but i guess would be more secure with that plastic piece?
i really like it so far but i havent played with the overclock as much as id like to yet
