I'm assuming B350 supports memory overclocking, so he might be able to get the RAM speed up a bit more.

I would sell that RX 480 on ebay and get a GTX 1070. The prices for AMD cards are spiking.

I'll keep an eye on it. The Asrock one looks promising, although i would rather get one from Asus (if they ever make an ITX ryzen mobo.)

Are you sure the 520W PSU is enough? I think it would limit your overclocking headroom by quite a bit.

Absolutely flawless, amazing man! For the GPU, a 1070 performs like a Titan X, so you should pick up one of those.

Same MoBo I have... rock solid choice. H100i is a bit much, a Kracken X31 or something along those lines would have been fine for the 6300 you have. Solid build.

He can OC the ram easily. The 370 and the iGpu run in crossfire, so dropping the GPU would also drop the performance by a LOT.

Agreed. If he's only going to OC that 4690K to 4.0 GHz, he should have gotten an Kracken X31. Instead. Still, I love how he went HAM on the hard drives xD

Since he is using an AMD card, it would be called Crossfire. Also, a 750W PSU is the minimum requirement for that card - takes a 1000W to Crossfire with his card.

Here's my opinion on DDR3: you can OC it to the same speeds as DDR4 for $20 less. Also, DDR3 Skylake MoBo's are MUCH cheaper than the DDR4 one's. Solid build otherwise!

Comment reply on JailBreak's Completed Build: $650 Gaming PC Build - October 2015

The one thing I envy about Nvidia is the low TDP and Wattage requierments on their cards. If you look here, you can still see how the 380 performs better than the 960: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-960-vs-AMD-R9-380/3165vs3482

Okay, so AMD cards don't really rape power supplies. (At least on the 300 series card they improved it XD.)

Comment reply on JailBreak's Completed Build: $650 Gaming PC Build - October 2015

A 4590 would've been a better choice. Even when overclocked, there isn't muck difference between the this and the 4690K. If you do that, Ed, then you can squeeze in a 380. Yes, AMD cards rape power supplies, but a 600W one isn't too much. Other than that, one badass build!
