I see. Thank you for explaining all that!
This is pretty cool. I like seeing unique builds on here. I would love to do a dual CPU rig for no other reason than to say I have 2 CPU's. Haha Anyway, how do you like using that big *** 43" monitor? Does 4K look decent without scaling? I am thinking of moving to one of these versus my 34" ultrawide.
Love that Great Wave wall art!
Oh alright. Thanks for explaining!
Great build! Could you tell me what monitor mount you're using? That's exactly how I want to mount mine.
Where did you find a BH7? I regret not picking one up when they were still in business...
(Eurobeat intensifies) Excellent build!
Nice retro build! I just got my Nuka-Cola H700 direct from NZXT, number 1458. I'm going to be publishing a build once I get some free time to take pictures.
Nicely done! I am getting ready to start a build in this case. The concrete or marble wrapping is an interesting idea... I think either would look nice.
This is beautiful. I'd like to build inside the M1 someday.
I just watched the video on this last night! Beautiful build sir. Did you have to modify the SC2 to fit the waterblock? I have read before that you have to remove the extra fan header EVGA puts on there or something.
Oh lord, me too. The worst is when I pick a place and she says "No I don't want that" and I jump out a window.
I have the same CPU cooler and I learned that unless it's at 100% pump speed, the pulsing LED will do weird things. I would check and make sure your MOBO isn't treating it like a fan and reducing the power to it. It should be at 100% all the time.
Anyway... Great build!
Beautiful machine! But to control the LEDs, you have to install the Asus Aura software. Once that's installed, there are separate "tabs" along the top that control what the LEDs do when the machine is off or on. The mini-PC I built my girlfriend has RGB stuff and that's how I know this. She sets the LEDs to a dim glow when the machine's off and it asks as a nightlight!
Hope this helps.
Thanks! I will post it here when I’m finally done with it.
I agree, it's a little nerve racking to think about. Since I have an older CPU though, I may try it! My build is in a white Meshify, so airflow is not a concern.
Nicely done! I am considering switching to the D15S as I am not happy with the 75C+ temps on my 240mm AIO. I am on a stock 6700k as well, which is cooler than the 8700k. You could delid your CPU and drop like 15C probably.
Those are some pretty welds! Beautiful work on both the desk and the PC.
Always wanted a BH7 when they were out, but could never fit it into my budget. I wish they still made them now. How do you like the BH8 overall?
I didn't know they had a red Focus G, that's pretty sweet. Goes well with your white accents, well done! However, your radiator fans are exhausting out the front of the case. You aren't necessarily wrong putting them that way, but it's generally better to have them intake.
I bought this case the day it came out, I had been waiting for the white version for a long time. Are those ML140's at the front?
Ha! Aviation grade for sure. Thank you!
I think both front options look pretty cool, so I would keep both and just cycle them out every once in a while. Nicely done!
If I remember correctly, they are pre-installed and you use the provided screws to mount the motherboard.
Awesome. Thanks for explaining all that. It looks great! Perfection takes time.
This is awesome! I built a rig for my girlfriend a while back, but haven't gotten around to taking pictures and posting it. It's not this nice either. May I ask how you painted the case? Like did you use paint or plasti-dip?
This is great, just like the last "trash heap" you did. I might have to build a janky mining rig just for fun. I will have an old Radeon 6970 sitting around soon.
HA! Good catch. New keyboard is messing with me.
This is awesome! It looks great and well done. Just FYI though, the 1060 dual card you have does have a fan stop mode. You have to download a new BOIS (?) from Asus and it enables it. I have the same card. Fans stay off until about 60C.
The build went through a couple iterations: the S340 is the final result, In between was the 400C, and the 230T was the beginning. I explain this is my description. The 212 was temporary until I decided what AIO I wanted. I am not a fan of the aesthetics of the 212, but it works well and was cheap.
Thanks for the info! I think the 6350 is triple-core, 6-thread but either way it's better than the dual-core laptop chip he's coming from. And relating to the GPU, I just don't know how to compare AMD products to Nvidia products performance wise. I do think that it is cool to literally see how far computer hardware has come.
I agree that there is defiantly more work to be done on the cables. But I am also waiting to see how he treats the machine before I invest more time in it. Also, it could be a good learning opportunity for him.
Thanks for the kind words though!
I appreciate your service and wish you the best. Beautiful build! We share the same case.
Love the 230T! I built my computer in it at first, but my rad did not really fit so I "upgraded" to the S340. Great build!
Sweet build! I have the same case, GPU, and little homie in my computer. Haha +1
I may switch to ITX though, there is no need for me to have a big ol ATX case.
This is super clean! I love it. +1
Nice build! I used to have the orange 230T and I loved it. I would have kept it had it fit my 240 rad a little better. +1
We have the same CPU/MOBO/RAM/GPU combo, nice choice! Beautiful build.
Dang people on this site making me want to build a ITX...
Love the build! +1
Pretty much all of the pictures are wallpaper worthy. Gorgeous!
11/10 would waste time at work again
That CPU cooler is massive! That tells people you got something serious under there. But I agree with Cherty, it should be able to handle 5Ghz pretty easy if you did well with the thermal paste. I have a 6700k with a mild 4.4Ghz OC at 1.28V and it will not go above 80 on water. I need to get real thermal paste though, I am currently running the stock that came on the AIO.
Great build! +1
Your view is stellar! The PC is nice too, but I can't get over that view. ;)
Thank You! And yeah the backplate adds just enough without being overboard IMO. Check out ColdZero and see what you like. I believe you can do custom logos and what not, but I was satisfied with the stock white one.
Beautiful build! Love the cat as well... Mine wouldn't let me take pictures of her. Your build is similar to mine... I guess great minds think alike.
+1 all day. Clean as can be.
Awesome build! I gotta do an ITX next.
Yeah there's two in there. One on top and one on the bottom. They're the "Tingkam" kit from Amazon. Powered off SATA and has a remote. They're really bright!
Customgtp nailed it. Hindsight is 20/20, but I should have gotten the 6600K and a 1070, but it is what it is. At least the 6700K will last a long time. I would love to go 21:9, 1440p at 144hz... that's the dream.
