I just recently completed an ATX 8700k system with the same FTW Hybrid GPU for the same reason as you. Single threaded performance for SolidWorks and no 1080 ti because Volta is around the corner. On my ASUS Z370-e motherboard, I also have complaints with fan header placements -- I'm just using the 4 fan headers that come on the kraken. I am also a sucker for RGB having bought corsair ml120 rgb fans. The motherboard has an addressable header and two more standard 5050 headers. I have a meter of addressable RGB going around the inner perimeter of my phanteks p400s. Your build is a mini version of mine with more ram and a faster ssd. I absolutely love it.

One question - Are you getting 5.4 @1.365 on all 6 cores or just one or two of them? I'm running my 8700k at 5.0 @ 1.25 on all 6 cores.

Alright so I'm in the process of ordering parts for my first PC build and your build is very similar to mine. The way you have assembled the inside is exactly how I envision mine to be. I even have the same monitor and mouse. This build is beautiful and mine is going to be soooo similar, it just makes me happy. 11/10 +++++1

How were you able to sync the RGB lights behind the monitor to what is displaying on the monitor? Very nice and clean looking build!
