Was able to fit an i7 in there, I used all of the spare parts you had. Keep in mind Hackintosh is a little unstable, so if you are doing extreme projects (which I hope you wouldn't with a 500 euro budget) It'd be better to just buy an actual apple computer.

I know similar cases that are wayy worse, but the kids don't have any willpower to speak up about it. For instance, My stepbrother's friend has to pay for his food, shelter, plumbing, electric, and even insurance in the name of his father working at minimum wage every day for 5 hours after school, because his dad uses up all of the welfare money on drugs and alcohol, and his mom was a drug dealer that got busted for both drug dealing and prostitution. I'm not saying your situation is fantastic compared to him, but at least you can stand up for yourself instead spiraling yourself into a cycle of getting depressed, doing more things, getting abused, etc.

I have a lot of memories with redstone servers, probably one of the reasons I got into PC. Redstone was pretty fun, I learned about binary and how basic calculators work, building 8-bit computers and ROMs.

First of all where does it even say that he's gaming? Second of all if you know so much and you're right about the RX470 mirrored VRAM, then why did they make the R9 390X2 which is two 390s? False.

Before thinking that every card is better in every aspect once you see specs, realize that I'm focusing on what matters for him, VRAM. the GTX1070 is the same value as the RX470 in terms of VRAM, and since it's in crossfire its 16GB, while still being cheaper.

I'd reccomend saving up just $100 more for this build. The performance in video editing this CPU has is insane compared to your build. An SSD isn't necessary, you can always save up $50 for when you want it.

It's really bad for it's price. 120mm barely does much, it often gets outperformed by a $30 cooler. I suggest the Scythe FUMA or CRYORIG H5 ultimate.

I would like to know where your getting a GTX1070 for that price. My only complaints are the PSU could be modular (I suggest EVGA G2) and you don't need such an expensive case so put the money into the PSU

NVIDIA runs shaders way better than amd (Yes you can run virtually every shader pack at almost max)

Minecraft shaders make the game a lot better looking and actually look like a separate game. Minecraft doesn't have to be the 2009 simulator that can run on a school computer that it is. If he has $600, give it to him to do what he wants to do. It's not overkill, the end.
