I'm confused, some pictures show this board having a thunderbolt 3 header. Yet some dont. Can you confirm if there is a thunderbolt header right above the SATA ports?

Seeing that it would appear your trident z modules didnt have a problem with cooler clearance you think I'd be okay if I went with a set of corsair dominators... I believe they're the same height

Did you have a problem getting the mp600 under the motherboard heatsink cause I really like this drive, but I'm looking at the x570 taichi and worried about clearance due to mp 600's heatsink being so tall

Dude does your side panel window flex with the gammax 400 installed cause I bought this cooler and case and it caused my side panel window flexed out... Worried about the pressure it's putting on the motherboard or cpu

curious... looks like a 3rd 3.5" drive can be mounted below the drive cage hidden by the psu shroud, is that the case in this case lol?

if you had just used the all black version of this case, plus maybe using an axi psu this would have been a perfect 10/10 in my book. Other than that beautiful build

You think you could mount a 3.5" hdd on the floor below the hdd cage and still have the room to put the cage back on top afterward?

couldn't tell you, the original fan clashed with color, so i went straight to corsair fan

honestly if you are just barely not meeting your expectations with the 4790K I'd say dial in a decent overclock, and wait til the Intel Core iX - 8XX0 lineup

hmm... weird. see if you already own a 4790k I wouldn't upgrade, but if youre building a new pc from the ground up you might as well

yes there is a tangible benefit from the upgrade.... but the real question is if the performance increase is from the ipc gain or the change to ddr4... either way there is a noticeable performance difference, mainly with more cpu intensive games like "ashes of the singularity", "gta v", or "the witcher 3"

every time i look at this cooler it just doesn't look like a standard 140mm fan would fit on it cause of the weird mounting system of the stock fan, but seeing that you replaced the stock fan on the cooler it wasn't an issue

I honestly feel like the reason your cards are so hot is due to the limited space between the 2 which is a restriction created by the motherboard's form factor

Honestly the one place I feel like you can kind of scimp on is the enclosure. My buddy was thinking about building a sleeper system inside an old hp p6 2100 case. As long as thermals are good, it shouldn't matter much. Like I said before this case is actually not half bad considering its price tag.... bottom mounted psu with removable dust filter, support for over 310mm graphics cards, 165mm cpu cooler clearance, 240mm radiator support, 2 5.25" bays, 1 external 3.5" bay, 3 devoted 2.5" drive sleds, 4 devoted 3.5" drive sleds, side window, and great airflow and fan support

I have yet to overclock, but I imagine it'd be alright. Understand its a budget z97 board, and 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for. Who knows it could be a diamond in the rough, ill get back to you as soon as I have conclusive results

Well in your case no its not just a piece of metal holding everything together, its a piece of art. I was just looking for something to hold it together, and honestly for how cheap this case is, its pretty feature rich

You think I could get away with an i7 4790k and a gtx 980 ti, or do you think this setup produces too much heat for this case
