Depends on what his task is with this computer. I'd guess he isn't just gaming with 32g of ram, probably rendering/video editing.

Can you let me know how to get a 1080ti for free? Really nice looking build. Should be a great build for gaming and running the unreal engine.

3.7Ghz on stock cooler seems to be a good overclock. Wonder what you will be able to push once you get the other cooler set up!

I'll say it is a nice and clean LED switch mod. Had to look twice, looks like it was made that way. Nice build over all :).

Cold air comes in the front/bottom and goes out back/top. Hot air rises, so it works better if you don't try to fight that. :)

Looks like a good build for Max setting 1080p gaming. Don't see anything in the parts list not working with each other. Can't say much more about it, with out knowing what it is going to be used for.

If i was going to be spending that much this is what I would go with pcpartpicker list. I would go with the 512gb SD have more games on the faster media. Also for the price difference the K CPU and Z170 board are worth the upgrade. A cheap after market cooler too, they look better, sound better, and cool better! I'd stick with a Air Cooler just less to worry about and the price difference between AIO and Air for you is way to much. With the K CPU he can overclock it to get a few extra frames when that time comes. I would also not go with the 4x4 ram kit just becase there is no upgrade from that if you get a 2x8 ram kit you can still add 2x8 kit latter, and it cost less. Thats all at your 13% tax, and I thought I was bad off at 9.25% in USA, TN. Just my 2 cents.

If I had to guess, back order or delayed shipping. NCIX is the only place that has the EVGA FTW card instock at the moment.

At Stock speed the Stock Coolers will get the job done, and for FREE! Tho they are louder than a EVO212 but still FREE! Very nice build! Good job on the cables too!

Just sell the 980 ti, and get the 1080 if it is that big of a deal. The skylake CPUs just came out, far from a out dated rig.

Nice looking build, and I wouldn't worry to much about the PSU. Review done by jonnyguru.com. From what I read of it, sounds like it might use some extra power, but over all it is "jonnyGURU recommended". If they like it i'd use it.

You need to check out a video over on you tube, done by Linustechtips. They ask "Yes, good cable management does looks awesome. But does it actually increase the efficiency of your CPU or GPU cooler?". The short answer is no it doesn't help at all. I'd just show her how to clean the dust out and all will be good!

I'd go with pcpartpicker has a 270x, the APU will bottle neck the 270x but even with that, you shouldn't see problems with Minecraft. Tho if she is hosting a server more ram might help her more than a GPU. If that APU died with the Mobo i'd go with something more like New cpu. Ether will also be able to run GTA 5.

would you need a Operating System or a monitor, in the 400-500 budget? Do you have a free case, from the computer with the dead mobo? If you don't need OS or Monitor some thing like this could work for you With video card . if you do need the OS and Monitor then Comp with monitor & OS

Thanks for the input, at some point I plan on going to the 8gb for the ram. I will also be up grading the GPU at some point, but at this time all I use it for is World of Warcraft and some Minecraft(mostly my 4year old). So untill he wants to go for more demanding games think I am good to go.
