Airflow isn’t great. I made some modifications, including a mesh window on the top panel to help evacuate hot air.
Yes, the case has to be modified and cut in several places to make them fit, and you’ll have to use some fancy fittings to get the tubing routed through some tight spaces.

Those collars are just giant washers, but yeah I didn't bother using them. I wanted the legs to appear to go straight down into the desk.
Two in the rear are free-standing, the two in front are bolted using the original hardware.
They are two different models, and I'm pretty sure Ikea still carries both.

Well, I already had them from previous builds, and I use them for different purposes. One is use for my OSX partition, one is a scratch disk for Photoshop, one is my main boot drive (NVMe), and one is just for game storage.
I made it from the same wood as the desk.
