Awesome build man! How's that monitor?
Sorry to hear that :/
Awesome build man, the purple looks pretty awesome! +1
Love the color scheme!
Jealous of that case, great build! +1
I have the Gigabyte G1 GTX 970, so no worries on the backplate. :D It sags a tiny bit anyways but yeah, not nearly as bad with the backplate.
I didn't use any actual programs made for stressing graphics cards, but playing crysis 3, tomb raider, and metro LL at the absolute max settings with DSR enabled, seemed to help. Just any graphics-intensive games you have basically.
Ah, well that's good. :p I've got the same graphics card, there seemed to be some very slight coil whine when i first installed it but then i stressed the **** out of it and the whining seemed to stop. Now it's whisper quiet.
Super jealous of that case, awesome build! +1 fo sho
Really nice build, how're you liking the 970? :D
I don't think i've seen a single build of yours that isn't attractive in some way, whether it's aesthetics or parts, or even both. Awesome build man. +1
How was it rude? It seems like other people said not to put it in the completed builds if it's not completed. :p sorry if i seemed rude.
The fan's probably pulling air through the heatsink, out through the top...
Don't post unfinished builds. Just.... don't.
Cable management? D: +1
Wasn't aware of that, wow. I see what you mean :p
Damn, wasn't aware of that.
This thing is gorgeous. +100000000
EVGA uses their ACX coolers, which seem to keep them really cool temperature wise. Why do you think they're old coolers? D:
Why did you route the CPU cable from the front, under your graphics card? Just curious, really nice build. +1
That lego might be among the best things i have seen in a computer. +1
No that's not, it isn't even a 280x.
The 4th picture, how the strix logo catches the light. Mmmmmmmmmm...
See, it's not bad by any means. It'd be excellent for a budget build. (as it was originally purchased for that very reason) I usually start seeing it struggle when i'm playing battlefield 4 on high settings with a bit of AA, it's usually at a decent frame rate but not where i'd like it to be. Also with games like Metro LL, it'll struggle if i have AA turned on with PhysX and all those goodies. It's honestly not bad, but what can i say? I'm a graphics *****. D:
+1 for RHCP
Brb fapping furiously
Congrats on the new wife and PC, that's like a double win this year. :D
+1 fo sho
That cable management oh my god o.o
Dude if i could upvote this 1000 times, i probably would. Unfortunately i can only do it once. D; Gorgeous build! +1
+1 for that N64.
Oh, my bad.
Why would you spend so much on storage? You could've easily gotten a 280x had you only purchased one hard drive and no ssds.
Oh, okay. :D great build, was just curious on a couple things.
Ah, i see.
Nice build, try and move your gpu up to the top pci slot for the best performance :D
Why're using the molex extentions? Why'd you get the i7 over an i5?
Maybe he wants to SLI? Idk dude he just got really good deals on most of those parts. Usually that cooler is about $70-$80, and he got it for $40. And his processor, he got for $150. If i could've gotten a 4570 for that much, i probably wouldn't have a 4670k in my rig right now. Just saying.
Please post some internal pictures. D:
Look at how much he paid for those components, absolutely no money was thrown out the door. Also, most games don't even use 4gb of RAM these days, but he can always get an additional 4gb or 8 if needed.
Ah, your system looks great with the white tubing and the purple lights And thank you, good luck to you as well!
Oh also, i don't remember the exact model that i'm using, but it's just some 1600x900p 20" Samsung monitor.
Thanks a lot. :D
Well, just be glad i didn't call it a beast haha. It's whatever i guess, i just put it in there anyways. :p thanks though. It's pretty great to build in, ample room for long graphics cards (i think you can put in like a 13-incher) but the only thing is, there's not too terribly much room to route cables, so you've gotta really think things through. :p you're a sailor? i've got a couple brothers in the navy.
Both of those cases are just perfect.
Thank you, and good to hear. I quite like cooler master cases but i'll probably try a corsair or nzxt on my next build.
Thank you sir, i plan on building an htpc and maybe a work computer for my pops soon. :p
Yeah, you're probably right. The thing is though, i've heard the CX750 has some pretty questionable capacitors and it could be dangerous to overclock something with it in there.
Thank you very much! I've put a lot of work into it, so i'm glad you guys like it. How do you like that CM Storm Striker?
Thank ya! Yes sir you can, surprisingly enough. I had doubts, but on my motherboard the fan just slightly touches the heatsink on the left-most slot.
