I like it. but he's pretty set on his case.........which i hate. it's outdated, and looks hideous but likes it and it has lots of room for storage. it's more so airflow i'm concerned about

what cable did you use to extend the PSU to the back?

Icetorch thanks so much man. Will a dualcore hold up ok vs quadcore/ And do you think the stock CPU Cooler is enough in a wood case?

I'm getting paid to assemble. The guy I'm working with is making the case.

Forum Topic "intel locked or Ryzen?"

beardedmisfit submitter 5 Builds 1 point 20 hours ago

what mini itx would you pair it with? i'm trying to keep a lower budget, but still have enough power and heatsinks so the CPU doesn't overheat if consumer lets it run 24/7

beardedmisfit submitter 5 Builds 1 point 2 days ago

You're always a lifesaver man. I do like the usb dock. IT'd have to be >1" thick.

However would I need a splitter for anything? And i'm watching the power button video now

Forum Topic "internals only! Wooden case"

beardedmisfit submitter 5 Builds 1 point 2 days ago

Could I purchase standoffs for the mobo to sit OFF the wood in this case? I'm unsure how to lay the storage out in here. I'm also unsure what to do for a power button or USB ports? Buy an old case and part it out?

Forum Topic "internals only! Wooden case"

beardedmisfit submitter 5 Builds 1 point 2 days ago

An SF PSU would be great but where do I put a power button? This is what we have drafted for a case. I'd be building in the lighter tone. The dark tone wood is only an inch thick. Maybe room for a power button.

Forum Topic "Mini ITX build for girlfriend going off to college."

You could do something like this. Ryzen 5 will play games at med to low at 1080 no problem. Wasn't sure what kind of case so went with something small and compact; can stand it up vertical. Could always upgrade storage down the road. I chose a motherboard with wifi just in case she needs it. Good luck man

zincfusion's Completed Build: From Sandy Bridge to Coffee Lake

beardedmisfit 5 Builds 1 point 11 days ago

I know this is delayed lol but nice build! i'm doing something in this case as of now, and i had a question. Did you just use a velcro tie for the tubes of AIO? and did you tie them down to anything? or just stick 'em 'til they suck? thanks! good job +1

Forum Topic "Birthday gift for my 16 yr old son - Opinions wanted!"

If he's gaming Sir I definitely recommend intel. One thing to keep in mind is your tax and shipping costs for this. It will affect your budget if you're ok going over $2000. ShadowGuy and Wolfy both have great builds and something I was going to suggest. Good luck!

Dan your build seems to be pretty good. I'd lose the black thermaltake fan and use the one that comes w/ the case and put it in the front for intake. And purchase and additional LL120 and place on top for exhaust. Good luck with your build!

instead of the cooler master, could we replace it with an RGB AIO rad at the front, 280 and lose the silent wings?
