noted on the CAT 6. Best Buy?
so run an ethernet cable rather than spend money on new router
B-E- A- UTIFUL Great job man. This is up there with my favourite builds!
Good build. Agreed with everyone else; definitely invest in a cpu cooler.
No problem haha if you remove the 5.25" chasis, you can actually move the 3.5" chasis to the top, or remove one and only use what you need. Look up some videos online.
exactly what i was talking about. thanks velcade
Great build. I loved the walk through. Did you only put in the M.2? No SSD's? May I ask why?
Thanks for this. I was looking at this MOBO but it's AM processor.
Thank you sir. Appreciate your feedback!
I just figured the less I have on the M.2 the faster it'll be. Or am I overthinking it?
My OS is already on an M.2
Yup it does. Sorry I couldn't be any help. Good luck
Good build. How do you find the WD working for you? Using it for games or programs?
I also found that Asrock makes this one.
Asus makes this. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for?
Great first build man. I have the same case (with the window) and it's super modular. If you're not using the 5.25" drive bay, you can remove it and give yourself some space. Great build though, I want that RAM for that price! +1
Sweet looking build! more photos when you do your updates.
Great build! What kind of speakers are those?
Thanks kynes for the feedback. I appreciate it. I want to upgrade my plex server, and right now using 2 wd greens and want to upgrade. wasn't sure if I should go Seagate cuda, hitachi/hgst, or wd gold.
Great build for what you have going on. How do you find the WD red working for media vs the Seagate? Any difference or pretty much par? Good work!
This is great haha Awesome job!
How has your luck been with the HGST/HItachi hard drive? I"m debating on them or seagate. Didn't think i could get stuck choosing a hard drive.
Great build btw. I've always wanted to try water cooling.
noted on the speed comparison. thanks
No problem. Keep in mind too, the Fractal R5 comes with 2x 140mm fans. I currently have the white edition and it's awesome!
He'd still be utilizing sata ports installing the M.2 no? but external usage is always nice
I'd definitely keep an eye on your M.2 as it will occupy some of your sata ports. You said you're filling it with 8 drives. Your cooling seems to be fine. Maybe look for an attachment that allows more sata ports, or a mb with more sata ports. Try THIS if you don't want to get a new MB and keep the one you have. Just my opinion. Otherwise you're on the right track!
Good job man. +1
Not building NAS just storage for media. I'm on the fence gearing towards the barracuda series. Just want to get them at a good price
Congrats on the feature. Nice build! Love what you did with the Ryzen box I'm assuming. And the cable management is spot on! Great job
so it's taking away performance from the 1st slot. understanding a bit more. thanks guys.
which is correct, but does that mean the second slot is nul/void. or can it be occupied?
More of a curiosity is all.
Gorgeous build! Absolutely love it! Super clean. Love the case over the graphics card. Great job!
Always seem to haha. I'm still stuck on my HDD decision if you wanna chirp in on that one lol Here
Being in Canada I'm assuming the WD Elements series, are the same as the WD Easystores
Shadow that helps explain RAID a lot more clear for me. Thank you.
Any spraypaint? I want to do that with an old case, but not sure if it matters. If the spraypaint needs to have a sealant
Gorgeous build! Did you use any spray can paint for the case? Love the colour scheme, and the RGB looks awesome!
gotcha! That makes total sense haha
Great looking build. Love the white/red cables. Clean cable management. My only question is why three SSD?
Thank ya sir, Appreciate it
So the fact that my house is only two floors and a basement; would it be overkill? Old home with plaster and drywall walls. Mainly used downstairs, however there's on average 3-5 items connected to wifi. Would I invest in a strong router, or mesh?
Very clean and sleek! Great job!
$156 difference, I like it. Thanks
why the two hard drives? one for OS, one for files
I like the price of the Ryzen lol but i also like the intel build. i've never used a cpu cooler other than stock. and i have never built an intel build. so that one has my attention. where would i find a slimline sata cable for the LG writer?
