werewoof's Completed Build: Obsidian X

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

yeah but the difference between mine and his would be small considering they are both still 1080p. what does confuse me though is why his is only 60Hz. if youre going 1080p with a gtx 1070 id figure that hed use a moniter with a much higher refresh rate than that

werewoof's Completed Build: Obsidian X

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

I have a 1070 and I use it with a 2560x1080p monitor so that I get really high frame rates when I'm playing games in ultra settings.

Bizkit1021's Completed Build: FIRST GAMING RGB RIG

dkoense 1 Build 0 points 9 months ago

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if his temps went down by double digits if it were horizontally mounted. Vertical mounts are bad for air cooled cards

How did you get the CPU for so cheap? I know it's a little old but I didn't think it'd be that inexpensive.

Performance-Modding.Zone's Completed Build: NZXT - Black/Red - AIO Watercooled

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Nice build, just wondering why you didn’t go with an unlocked cpu. You have a mobo that can overclock and an aio capable of the higher temps. +1

navywolf's Completed Build: First PC Build Ever

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Move it up to the top slot because if you have it in the bottom it can actually bottleneck your performance.

redcraft773's Completed Build: Bloodworks 3.0

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Hey man awesome build but I got a quick question about your mouse. I’m looking into getting it as I play a lot of FPS games, but do you find it too heavy to play FPS? I’ve head that the weight kind of drags it down and I was wondering if you had any problems. Thanks in advance, +1 for awesome build

redcraft773's Completed Build: Bloodworks 3.0

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

When you buy only the best of the best lol. If I were to spend this much on my pc, I’d buy fitting made of only the finest platinum lol

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

Most of the PCIe slots on motherboards decrease after the first one. The first one is x16, while the next is x8 and maybe the third even x4 but I depends on the motherboard. I’d consult your manual to check

Thanks! I'm actually far from a perfect cable manager but I try my best lol. Salazar Studios is a guy in YT who does some good cable management videos if you're trying to get better.

phoend's Completed Build: My 1st Build Since Windows Millenium was Releasd.

Nice build! Motherboard is a little overkill, could've probably saved a hundred bucks by getting a cheaper chipset since 7500 are locked cpus, but otherwise very nice!

thurke90's Completed Build: First build

dkoense 1 Build 1 point 26 months ago

That's a massive power supply for the parts you have. Could've saved some money by getting one with less watts

dkoense's Completed Build: First Ever Build (Black and White Theme)

dkoense submitter 1 Build 1 point 27 months ago

I added unigine heaven benchmarks at both high and ultra. I don't have 3D mark and I just spent a lot of my money on this pc so I didn't want to buy it lol. The unigine benchmarks are free. I was going to do cinebench to test the cpu but since cinebench is not really influenced by the graphics card so it's very easy to find 6600k results online

dkoense's Completed Build: First Ever Build (Black and White Theme)

dkoense submitter 1 Build 1 point 27 months ago

Are you using a 6600k too because I may be able to run a couple of benchmarks if ur interested. The asus Strix cards are always well worth the money and are just amazing. Low temps too

dkoense's Completed Build: First Ever Build (Black and White Theme)

dkoense submitter 1 Build 1 point 27 months ago

I was between this mobo and an MSI Krait one and I ended up landing with this one and no regrets here, I love the board.
