Get the 165hz Dell monitor, it is actuallly cheaper
Is the name a joke?
I HIGHLY suggest upgrading to Ryzen or (releasing on October 5th) Coffee Lake.
I'd say you should wait for Coffee Lake, and wait for the benchmarks to release on userbenchmark, then compare it to some Ryzen CPUs and see what is best for your needs.
It isn't going to be $800, it will be around $380.
You really should get a Z270 motherboard to ensure the best compatibility.
I suggest waiting for Coffee Lake, as the i7-8700K has an average 20% performance increase.
Wait until Coffee Lake.
It looks AMAZING! I have a random question, do the fans on the water cooler cool other components (unless if it is hidden)?
They do seem to have a benefit, if you've watched a SSD VS SSHD (hybrid) VS HDD video or two, SSHDs are around 10 seconds slower than a SSD, which is fine I guess.
I don't really want the price to go over $600 and I don't need a SSD. Instead, I'd prefer a hybrid hard drive. Also, if possible, put in a GTX 1060 3GB (on EVGA's website you can pay with Affirm so it is 1 payment a month for 3/6/12 months)
I am planning to go with a GTX 1050 TI/GTX 1060 3GB, but I was wondering about any possible bottlenecks. Thanks :)
I suggest getting a GTX 1070/1080/1080 TI, the GTX 1050 TI is a HUGE bottleneck.
So I'm assuming you mean I leave AHCI on for 2 drives. But thank you so much for helping :)
I'm still a little confused, but thanks for helping!
Just to confirm, I never built the PC or even started ordering parts, so idk what RAID 0/1 and 5/10 means. Let's say I had it on AHCI, and I plugged in the SSD. Would I put it in RAID? I don't know much when it comes to RAID and stuff like that, and I prefer if you simplify it. Thanks for helping so far :)
What if I only wanted to move only the OS? And would I plug in the SSD using an USB adapter to do so?
Thanks, but I have one more question. Would I just transfer the OS over to the SSD or is it not easy as that? Sorry if that sounded kind of dumb. :P
